The filmmakers Q & A following the screening was also very telling. Their primary motivation for making this apolitical movie about the life of Navy Seals was primarily to pay honor and tribute to the sacrifice these extraordinary individuals make in order for all the rest of us to walk around free.
The liberals in attendance gave the film the same standing ovation I did, because they were drawn into an intense story line that did not choose partisan sides.
Thats not to say that liberals who havent seen the film arent making a partisan issue of it.

To be honest, I just heard about this movie recently. It looks pretty awesome though!
I was in the USAF, so I’m well aware of the other Special Forces units. (I took and passed the PAST test myself) I don’t understand why you are talking to me about Obama. I never mentioned him, I only stated that I look forward to the movie.
I’m going to see it tomorrow, and can’t wait.
Thank you all, I will see it. I wonder if it will do well in New York??? Especially Manhattan???
The SEALs have been getting a lot of publicity lately compared to the other special forces.
Another very good movie about Special Ops is Black Hawk Down. IIRC, there are no SEALs in it—just Delta Force, Rangers, and Night Stalkers.
Well, you do have a point there.
I thought there was a USAF PJ and a Combat Controller as well.
What says the great Debs? Will you see this film? Based on the previews that I’ve seen - I’m there.
Your son will learn a lot of new things and have a blast doing it.
The Sea Cadets is one of the finest youth organizations in the country, and you’ll see that they help their cadets to really excel in many areas, including academics and physical fitness.
In our area, some Cadets will join the military, others the merchant marine and others still use their experiences and trainings to leverage themselves into college or careers that make use of skills acquired while they were Sea Cadets.
The "Whacking Bin Laden" film these Obamanistas are working on was initially staged for release before the November election, but as I understand it, was postponed for release until AFTER the election.
Regardless, I used to think that "Act Of Valor" was the Obamanista film in question, but I am glad that it is a separate film altogether from McCoy and Waugh.
Bigelow and her Obamanistas had nothing to do with "Act of Valor," which is why I am interested in seeing it.
There might have been. It’s been a while since I’ve seen the movie.
Cause I find it hard to believe that Obama-crazy Hollywood would show anything military without a left-wing slant to make him look good. Maybe this movie does not. There was also a time that active duty could not profit from books, movies, whatever be the case. Maybe the money from the movie will go to Wounded Warriors or the Soldiers and Sailors Relief Act.
Maybe you should find that out before jumping to conclusions.
You must be proud of your patriotic son, cross.
Looking forward to it.
I hope your son finds a Sea Cadet unit in your area. He’ll have a great time with them!
I saw the movie and loved it.
I did prefer, “Blackhawk Down”, however.
I would recommend that all freeps go see, “Act of Valor”.
Reports that the SEALs were not identified *appeared* wrong —there were credits at the end. Perhaps those were supporting folks...?
Good movie, yes.
