President Obama admitted today that he does not have a "silver bullet" solution for skyrocketing gas prices

I do.

Allow more drilling.

Rescind your refusal to permit the Keystone pipeline.

You're welcome, President Obama. No no no, don't try to hire me, I'm happy where I work.

High gas prices IS his energy policy.

Along with high electric and natural gas prices.

His whole agenda is based on artificially raising the prices of energy via government regulation in order to make his “green” energy boondoggles cost competitive.

How long are people going to put up with this idiocy?

A 40% annual inflation year after year in the cost of electricity/natural/gas/automotive fuel isn’t enough to wake the clueless sheep like American voters to the economic idiocy of the “green” movement and their mindless puppets the US Democrat Party

I was expecting him to propose astral projection as a way to get around the high price of gas.

I’ll give him a pass on this one. A Chicago politician could easily believe there is a limitless supply of pond scum.

IN 2008 when Barack Hussein Obama was campaigning he said the silver bullet to lowering gas prices was to keep your tires inflated ...and we would save enough gas to keep America in fuel

Well to be fair, Bush mentioned cultivating saw grass in a SOTU speech. Saw grass. Run the economy with saw grass.

“The Department of Energy (DOE) currently spends about $85 million on 30 research projects “to develop algal [sic] biofuels,” ....”

At least, that's a lot better than multi-billion dollar subsidies for industrial-scale implementation of unproven or economically nonviable technologies (e.g. solar, wind, corn ethanol).

I remember reading about a company doing this some years ago - the problem is scaling it up to produce the milluions of barrels we need per day would take enourmous investment in facilities and the ultimate cost would be rediculous.

The Navy is using algae fuel on some ships. It costs much, much more than the other fuel. Of course the companies selling the algae fuel to the Navy are 0bama cronies.
