TAMPA (CBS Tampa) Talk about pain at the pump! Some Florida drivers are spending nearly $6 a gallon to fill up their gas tanks.
According to GasBuddy.com, motorists are shelling out $5.89 for a gallon of regular gas at a Shell station in Lake Buena Vista, topping out at $5.99 a gallon for premium. It doesnt get better at a Suncoast Energy station in Orlando, where drivers are paying $5.79 for a gallon of regular.
Prices over in the Disney World area are much higher than any other place in Florida, Jessica Brady, AAA spokeswoman, told CBS Tampa, adding that people regularly complain about gas prices in that area.
The Sunshine State is opening up its wallet, paying an average of $3.67 a gallon of unleaded gas, 12 cents more than the national average. And its only expected to go up.
It doesnt look like we will have relief at the pump anytime soon, Brady told CBS Tampa. I do think we will see prices surpass $4 a gallon. I think we will see that closer to spring time.

The list, Ping
Let me know if you would like to be on or off the ping list
Went up a dime overnight, here...coastal OR...a quarter in the last 10 days.
I got some last night. $3.55 / gallon. Zip: 33523 in Florida too!
Gouging I’d say.
This is why Sarah Palin said our candidates need to focus on energy. Obama will just attack the oil companies. Mark Levin said last night to prepare for this to come next.
Now notice the silence from the same Media, and the continue getting on their hands, knees and kissing the butt of the president.
Can you imagine what they would be saying if Obama was a Republican??? Oh yeah the Media is objective and are not political hacks. (sarcasm off)
Fox News interviewed Eric Bolling from the Fox Business Channel and he said we have not even begun to feel the results of some things affecting the price of gas yet. The prices are going to rise even more.
“I know, let’s send the President to Florida.”
He is going there tomorrow to speak at some university about the gas crisis.
Gouging? No way. If oil companies had that much power over prices then they would never decrease.
Nope, it’s all the back and forth increase in tensions with Iran. BTW, I have been told that a Saudi prince owns a large chunk of Fox News. Yes, the same Fox News that wants us involved in every conflict in the Middle East.
Finally, why aren’t the sheeple blaming Obama for the increase in gas prices? As always, the media won’t touch it.

$2.00 above the national average? Sounds like a local gouging problem...
In 6 months there will be another surge in Home Foreclosures; just like last time.
But, Obama isn’t smart enough to realize the most basic of facts. Gas stations sell gas for CASH (debit or credit cards). People HAVE to fill their tanks to buy food, go to work, etc. They have no choice - the car MUST be filled.
When gas prices go up, the cost of living goes up. Food, clothing and fuel oil don’t magically appear at the various vendor’s stores. It must be transported. The cost of transporting and creating these goods just doubled. This cost will be passed on to the consumer. Just like last time.
So, with your income fixed, and job layoffs pending (cost of doing business just surged with energy costs going up, more rounds of layoffs will be a necessity) - people have a choice. Fill the car, eat and get dressed today; or pay the mortgage. People who have been scraping by, are now going to go under.
Surprisingly, this line of reasoning is beyond the ability of most of our elected officials. I guess if you have millions in your bank account, you can afford to sell the American Dream down the river; as it won’t affect you or your family.
Obama = human gas crisis
The Republicans can now say thanks to Obama not wanting to build the pipeline since it would hurt Warren Buffets Trains. We now we have $6 a gallon gas.
Run that over and over again and watch the Dems go ballistic.
Well, one price was regular unleaded, the other was premium. I haven't looked into it, but it sounds like this may be a remote gas station near an airport that has rental cars. Pay us a premium, or pay even more to the rental company for a not-quite-full tank upon return.
Yep. Paying about $3.61 +/- a nickel here in Orange Park (greater Jacksonville). It's actually down a couple of pennies from last week.

You nailed it on the head and guess who is going to have to pay for all those foreclosures? It’s a complete disaster in the making.
I guess nobody believed him when he blamed the recovering economy.
zip code 32095
went up 13 cents overnight
