Rick Santorums spokeswoman Alice Stewart said in a TV interview on Monday that Santorum was referring to President Barack Obamas radical Islamic policies when he said the presidents agenda was driven by phony theology but then quickly called up MSNBC after the segment aired to say she misspoke.
There is a type of theological secularism when in comes to the global warmists in this country. Thats what he was referring to. He was referring to the presidents policies in terms of the radical Islamic policies the president has, Stewart said on Andrea Mitchell Reports.
Mitchell later said on the air that Stewart phoned the show after the interview to say she had slipped up and said radical Islamic policies instead of Obamas radical environmental policies.
Mitchell noted she had missed Stewarts phrasing of radical Islamic policies during the live interview.
She had repeatedly said during that same interview radical environmental policies and she said she slipped when she apparently said [it], Mitchell said. I did not hear it, or I would have caught her on it and tried to get a correction at the moment. I really, frankly, did not hear her use the word Islamic, but the tape tells the tale.
Santorum said in Ohio on Saturday that Obamas agenda is not about you. Its not about your quality of life. Its not about your jobs. Its about some phony ideal, some phony theology. Oh, not a theology based on the Bible, a different theology, but no less a theology.
Santorum stood by his remarks later, telling reporters he wasnt suggesting Obama is less of a Christian.

Santorum & his staff are his worst enemy...well, let’s say they’re giving all the amunition the msm needs to bring him down.
“He has had radical policies regarding Islam and Islamic countries. She didnt say he was a muslim.”
He lies as if telling the truth... Sign of a Muzzie in my bible study book.. Koran says it’s OK.
LOL. Some gaffe. I love it!
Frankly I like what they said. It's what I was thinking.
I do note that you are admitting here that you agree with the MSM. Kind of sad IMO.
Here’s the bottom line: If you examine the facts we are allowed to know about Obama, examine his OWN WORDS and look his attitudes toward Jews and Christians, you would be a fool to believe he is anything BUT a Muslim....
The Lame Stream Media tightens the rope around Obama every time they move.
I'm so confused ...so Santorum now says the Bamster is OK as a Christian (”not less of a Christian”); but, Rick's supporters are on many of these threads applauding Rick for saying the Bamster is either a) Not a Christian; b) a Muslim or c) anti-Christian
Then Rick “clarifies” all this by saying his original statement was really referring to the Bamster’s “Green” theology; which, substitutes Christian theology for some sort of nature worship.
Which brings me back to; “Then how is this OK w/Rick as far as the Bamster being a “Christian???”
GO NEWT!!!
At least she stayed out in front of it and called back saying she misspoke. She caught it before Andrea Mitchell did.
Whether you believe Obama is a Muslim or not (which I don’t - I think he’s secular humanist), it wouldn’t bode well for the campaign to say that. He’d be destroyed.
No, I don’t agree with the msm. Actually, I’d vote for him. But he’s going to cost himself the nomination. Just the facts.
Problem is you’ve also got pundits on “our” side that can’t get it right either.
Hannity is busy ranting as we speak - completely missing the environmental aspect of the statement. I really think Hannity skims topics for his radio show each day and force-fits the headline into whatever talking point he has on his alleged mind. At least hannity’s tv show has some decent guests.
Who is calling this a gaffe?
“we know the left will mark him as a religious nut”
They already have, and I think they’re already scaring people off
Not a gaffe if true...
"Rick Santorums spokeswoman Alice Stewart said in a TV interview on Monday that Santorum was referring to President Barack Obamas radical Islamic policiesWhere in the world do people get these kinds of ideas?
Santorum had me until he said obama is a Christian. At least we know what Santorum’s thinking.
Since there’s only two sides, ultimately,
it matters not whether 0bama is a Muslim or not.
He sides with them because they have a common enemy in Christ.
