The Obama administration has released an economic report that claims everything is coming up roses, and it is making the rounds of the MSM's news outlets. Truth is, when you look into the numbers, it's rather easy to come to the conclusion that the economic reports are as screwy as the administration's employment numbers. In order to convince Americans that his economic measures are working, Obama is claiming there has been an increase in retail sales from December to January by a seasonally adjusted .4%. The administration goes on to explain that while the economy is moving in a positive direction, it is still slow. They also point out that the recently reported gains reduced unemployment to 8.3%, proving that Socialist economic policies are working. However, Obama's unemployment numbers have since been proven to be lies. Have I stated that we are in an election year and that Obama needs to get re-elected in order to continue transforming the greatest country in the history of mankind into a Soviet style basket case? To assist in the destruction, the MSM has been knowingly repeating this administration's lies.
Instead of reporting how America's real unemployment is actually up between 19 and 25%, they report that Obama has been able to get unemployment down to 8.3%. Instead of reporting that the government is spending more money than it is taking in, and that retail sales have dropped by almost $100 billion from December to January, we are told by the administration's propaganda machine that retail sales have increased by .4%. In an election year, the MSM will do everything in their power to convince Americans that Obama is even greater than Ronald Reagan.

Monthly U.S. Total Gasoline Retail Deliveries By Refiners.
Note: the two low points are for October and November 2011, the most recent data.
Graphic: U.S. Energy Information Administration
By looking at the usage of gasoline by us citizens, you will notice that it really does back up my point that Americans are not going anywhere to buy anything. The refineries are not delivering gas to your local service station because neither you nor your neighbor are buying gas. We are staying home because our stagnant income does not allow us to put extra gas in our cars, let alone drive around to purchase things we cannot afford. Again, please notice the last two data points on the graph above. They point to a historic low amount of gas being used by Americans, which has a direct effect on the overall retail sales. Which in turn will affect the employment of Americans. So unless Americans begin buying more gas to go to the store, be prepared for the administration to offer up more bogus unemployment numbers like the ones I wrote about last week which Obama and the MSM do not want you to know exist.

Not really, people just say it is photoshopped. Facts mean nothing to these people, the news has been in the tank for socialism as long as I can remember, The New York Times praised the Russian Revolution, long before WW II.
I saw a blurb recently, stating Roosevelt ordered our military to give Russia whatever they ask for, during WW II. Looks like they did exactly that. Yalta was insane, but yet it happened, Berlin was insane, yet it happened, the atomic bomb was attained by Russia soon after we had it. Do we really believe we didn't give them the technology? Not that they wouldn't have eventually developed one, but that was an excuse Harry Truman used to let China kick us out of North Korea.
We are at the point where, if it wasn't on the 5:00 o'clock news, it didn't happen.
do you have pics and videos of that?
I don’t (and don’t know how to post them); if you enter “Xanadu” on nj.com there probably are plenty. Governor Christie has already said that a minimum he wants the thing repainted - it looks like those multi-colored stacks of empty shipping containers that filled the Newark & Elizabeth ports a few years ago (they were sent here loaded with cheap Red Chinese crap, and we had nothing to export back to them).
>>pics and videos of that..
Google is our FRiend ;-)

Looks like the kind of self-worshiping, non-functional, artful monstrosity the Interior Decorators who’ve infested and taken over Walt’s Disney would produce.
It is horrible, and now just a testament to a state heading towards rock-bottom.
Thanks; I appreciate it.
The new stadium next door was a disaster, too. The Giants wanted so much for season tickets they went through a 30 year waiting list in 6 months, and I think they still have them available. The Giants/Jets and the Cowboys both built stadiums that nobody would have dreamed of if they knew where the economy would be by the time they were completed, and the MLS team (Red Bulls) doesn’t even use Giants Stadium anymore (they built a new smaller stadium in nearby Harrison NJ, that caused that town to be put in the top ten list of towns in the worst financial shape in the country).
"The cost of construction has soared from an original estimate of $1.2 billion for both phases to more than $2 billion just for phase one alone. Xanadu officials blame the soaring price of steel and other materials, as well as unexpectedly complex design plans for the entertainment tenants.
Mills future faded amidst accounting misstatements that led to a Securities and Exchange Commission investigation and a sinking stock price..."

Quack, Waddle.... Is that a global Laundromat?
Is Real Unemployment also known as U-6? Or is it U-3? I forgot.
A fence woud have been a lot cheaper, then of course they could actually enforce the law, but that seems to be impossible. Every cop show on TV has the same message to illegals, we are not from immigration, we will not jam you up, we just need.......
“Like”....please ping if you, or another FReeper, begin this great thread. It will be put to great use as a reference.

looks like the Real Unemployment began to increase sharply in 2008 when Bush was President, kept rising till 2010 and has begun decreasing since. see chart: http://portalseven.com/employment/unemployment_rate_u6.jsp
I think the biggest drop in gasoline use is because people have no JOBS to go to. Sure, they are not traveling, or buying things...but when there is no daily back and forth to work, a person doesn’t need to put much gas in his car. Compare the rush hour traffic in the big cities...many fewer on the roads during those times than before when all the millions of unemployed had a job. People are even doubling up to go grocery shopping in order to stretch their dollars to buy food and not spend so much money filling the gas tank.
I have the same questions re the American economy right now that I did on 10 September, 2001 regarding American security: When is it going to blow? What’s taking so long? Hang on tight, you guys. It won’t be much longer. It will probably hit the fan on 21/1/13, and they’re going all out to keep it from hitting before election night, and then before the Electoral College meets, and then ‘til after inauguration. If they can limp through ‘til election night of 2014, they will. Expect a tsunami of bulls@#$ around these periods.
I watch for you in the pictures of those standing in line waiting for FEMA to give them a bottle of water, an MRE and a warm blanket.
Back during the first big fuel price spikes several years back there was one likeable part of it for me.
The collectivist boss and the collectivist wannabe-so-bad-it-killed-him boss could not grasp the idea that someone liked to enjoy some quiet and privacy esp. since I went to lunch at 1, 2 or even 3 to annoy them. It was a 24 hour faciilty.
There was a Longhorn about 20 minutes away, with light or no traffic, I could make it in 15 or less. It was too far away for the collectivists to bother coming out there and bothering me. I got the burger and fries, always good there.
Other days I went home since it was a few minutes short of the Longhorn.
