WASHINGTON — Democrats on the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee on Tuesday are expected to publish a report on the disputed gun trafficking investigation called Operation Fast and Furious, concluding that agents in Arizona — not Obama administration officials — were responsible for the tactics used in the inquiry and for providing misleading information relayed to Congress.
In an 89-page report, titled “Fatally Flawed: Five Years of Gun-walking in Arizona,” the Democratic staff portrays Fast and Furious as the fourth investigation, dating back to 2006, in which Arizona-based agents of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives employed the tactic “gun-walking” — failing to interdict illegally purchased guns in an attempt to build a bigger case.
“This report debunks many unsubstantiated conspiracy theories,” Representative Elijah E. Cummings, Democrat of Maryland, wrote in a cover letter. “Contrary to repeated claims by some, the committee has obtained no evidence that Operation Fast and Furious was a politically motivated operation conceived and directed by high-level Obama administration political appointees at the Department of Justice.”
Still, because the report was written by Democrats, the political impact of its conclusion exonerating high-level officials of wrongdoing may be limited. Its publication comes two days before Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr. is to testify before the committee. In previous hearings, Republicans have accused the department of sanctioning the tactics and lying to Congress.
In Fast and Furious, which ran from late 2009 to early 2011, A.T.F. officials lost track of about 2,000 guns purchased by suspected “straw buyers.” Many weapons are believed to have reached a Mexican drug cartel. Two guns linked to the investigation were found at the site of a shootout in which a Border Patrol agent, Brian Terry, was killed.

I no longer harbor the delusion this country can survive in its current form.
I have friends here in TX who grew up there in urban NY. They actually have solid, basic Judeo-Christian values.
However, when it comes to politics, they cannot overcome the cognitive dissonance and normalcy bias of their bogus liberal upbringing.

wasn’t having a op at you but in general when I have gone up there and I did live up there for a time and I see how it is then I have to ask . Am I in America.
The same is said when some move down here and complain we don’t have homosexual marriage, we have guns, they see hunters and shotguns, castle law etc.

The dems that are taking cover for Obama and Holder in lying should know that Obama would never lie for them. Obama left his entire party to die in the 2010 elections.So two questions remain after others are thrown under the bus for Obama.
1-What favors or money were they promised to try to make Obama and Holder look innocent.
2-How stupid do these dems think we are?Even if this were true (and it isn’t)Obama and Holder knew about this when this was happening and did nothing as it was all carried on.The only reason they got caught is because of whistle blowers within and the responsibility is with Obama and Holder as they (at the very least) knew (as Issa can prove) and did nothing to stop it. E-mails and other doc drops can prove they knew and cannot place the blame lower in the chain of command.
This may look good to the MSM around re elect Obama time but it means nothing and is weak.It is partisan dems weakly trying to protect Obama for what reason I don’t know.

Dems who sign on to this report are participating in the cover up and should be investigated as such to find out, under oath, what they knew and when they knew it, what conversations they’ve had with Holder, his staff, Obama, his staff and media allies.
yea my misses hated it and I hated it when I lived up there with her, rude, arrogant, it’s just a rat race up there.
While up there my blood pressure etc went in the wrong directions and as soon as I got back down here my health got much better.
