What's with Ann Coulter?
1/26/12 | self

What's with these talking heads, Ann Coulter especially, and their vitriol against Newt? I've always liked Ann, she is SO conservative; now she's pitching for Romney and slamming -- really slamming -- Newt. I don't get it.

Talking head summary: Coulter is obviously promoting Romney. Ingraham and Hannity are obviously promoting Gingrich. Limbaugh is promoting nobody all at the moment.

Gingrich, 3 wives —> Coulter, 0 husbands

I apologize for that, but I had to break it off. For personal reasons, I'm sure you understand.

Rush envy??? She’s hated as much as Rush by the left, not as supported by the right as Rush and worth ~$9 million after several books while Rush is probably more than halfway to being a billionaire.

Yes, remember that Gingrich was very outspoken about the gay issue when he told that gay guy something to the effect that if he wanted him (Gingrich) to promote “gayness” then he (the gay guy) should vote for somebody else, because Gingrich wasn’t going to do it...but if he wanted somebody to promote a society that was beneficial to everybody, then he should vote for Gingrich.

This is the interview manc. It would have been perfect as it had all the important information in it for everyone who had a question about Newt on Fannie/Freddie and the ethics charges and they cut it out. Not to mention cutting out the hypocrisy of Romney on the Fannie/Freddie investments and lobbyists in his attack ad. I hope Newt can get it all in during other interviews. I kept wondering why it was taking them so long to post the interview online. Now I know!

I understand “why” Ann doesn’t like Newt.

She supports Mitt simply because he’s the “best situated”, non-Newt candidate.
She can’t really defend Mitt’s record and it makes her mad that she is forced into that role.

Her level of anger makes it clear that Mitt is losing the battle and she can’t stand the thought of having to support Newt or accept Obama.

“Coulter’s last 2 books have flopped so now she’s on the RINO Romney payroll.’

137,000 copies. Debuted at number 3.

Yeah, that sucks.

"It seems to have something to do with gay rights for both Coulter and Drudge."

Romney: "Well, I think you’re partially right in characterizing Ted Kennedy as supportive of the gay community, and I respect the work and the efforts he’s made on behalf of the gay community and for civil rights more generally, and I would continue that fight.

There’s something to be said for having a Republican who supports civil rights in this broader context, including sexual orientation. When Ted Kennedy speaks on gay rights, he’s seen as an extremist. When Mitt Romney speaks on gay rights, he’s seen as a centrist and a moderate. It’s a little like if Eugene McCarthy was arguing in favor of recognizing China, people would have called him a nut. But when Richard Nixon does it, it becomes reasonable. When Ted says it, it’s extreme; when I say it, it’s mainstream.

I think the gay community needs more support from the Republican party and I would be a voice in the Republican party to foster anti-discrimination efforts."

She supports Mitt simply because he’s the “best situated”, non-Newt candidate.

He looks sharp, speaks well, has private sector as well as executive experience running a state.
That is why I ask for everyone to draft Jon Corzine!

Almost the talking heads are part of the elite establishment and think it's for them to select everything for us. It's not just that they are RINOS. I think Mark Levin has it nailed in Ameritopia. Republicans and Democrats are playing the part of masterminds.

It’s the same old thing: you get where you are by being bold and taking risks; once there, you stay where you’ve gotten to by not sticking your neck out.

She must agree with Romney that Obamacare doesn’t need to be repealed... just “fixed” a little.

Fox is the RINO News Channel that’s used conservative hosts and commentators as shills to draw us into the tent so we can be led to our “salvation” by “moderate” Republicans like the Bushes and Romney.

I just remembered that Hannity did mention how Romney is now saying Newt did not like Reagan. Newt laughed and pointed out how Romeny is the anti-Reagan guy and went into a few details. GUESS WHAT? THAT WAS CUT OUT OF THE INTERVIEW TOO!!!! No wonder Fox felt comfortable running with the same lie this morning.

They ( Ann Coulter & FOX and other GOP leaders )think Newt is unelectable and that Romney is

And with the GOP taking control of the Senate thus the GOP having both houses they can steer Romney to where they want him

What really irks the hell out of me is that they are resorting to half truths lies just like the democrats
That is sad
There is no hope for this country when that happens

They know the truth behind the House ethics BS etc etc
