Less than two weeks ago, Mitt Romney had a 22-point lead in Florida, but thats ancient history in the race for the Republican presidential nomination. Following his big win in South Carolina on Saturday, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich now is on top in Florida by nine.

I doubt it is all that much.
It would assume all of those voters were chomping at the bit to vote for him (doubtful), then it would have to be almost unanimous vote for him to be a factor (unlikely).
The majority of the votes will now happen between now and Tues.
This has to be the “jump the shark” moment for Ann Coulter. Never been a big fans of her in the first place. The good thing about the past few weeks is the hidden RINOs like Coulter have been exposed.
Yes, early voting may be a fly in the ointment, but with a lead this big (if it holds), Gingrich is likely to still win Florida.
The encouraging thing is the national polls are starting to shift.
I predict before all this is over Ann will pull a Huffington and leave the party, claiming it left her and start up a left wing website to worship her Mormon God Romney.
How dumb is it for Mitt to run down Newt (his own party)?
Didn’t SC teach him anything? If Newt is the nominee, Mitt will be in the Dems negative ads, repeating his misleading statements. I was uncertain who I would vote for, but Mitt and John King made up my mind. NEWT!

At least early voting sort of negates the typical “October” surprise, which almost always is used against our guys.
That being said, I’m off to go early vote for Newt here in Tampa.
I did the calculations last night, the early voting favoring Romney gives him the equivalent of a 2 point head start on election day.
As long as Gingrich is far ahead of that 2 points, he’s got it in the bag.
Gut feeling is that Coulter’s opinion is based on Newt’s past women problems.
I don’t think early voting will change the outcome, just maybe dent the victory 2 points or so.
That’s my hope anyway. With the vast majority still having not voted, I think the impact won’t be too big.
Luckily there’s a debate tonight as well, and I bet some early voters are waiting to do so until they see that. If something awful doesn’t happen, surely Newt will win that one again and see his numbers increase a few points more...with a big lead already if this poll is right, I can’t see them going up too much more, but after the debate they should go up some.
Here’s my take on the primaries. If the country had a balanced budget, a robust economy, and calm global concerns, Mitt would make a fine President. He is a decent man like Bush Sr. He is friendly and is an effective governor. But we are in the midst of epochal shifts in politics and our nation. We must either give up or start to right the ship. Newt, although, a bomb thrower, is the one to reinvigorate conservatism and begin to right the ship. He will be blasted like Reagan was early in his administration. He will be impeached if democrats reach a majority. Every bit of dirt he has ever done from 3rd grade on will be discussed nightly by the captive press. But we need him now! Santorum is one of the most decent human beings alive, but his boy scout image will be shredded by the Chicago thugs and marxists that are attempting to run our country.
Indeed. Mittens was on Faux last night and talked about how Newt was found guilty of ethics fraud, and all that work for Freddie Mac was lobbying. I know the story on the ethics issues (payback by the Dims for his success with Contract for America; he was cleared of all but one and paid only the cost of the investigation. The IRS later cleared him of the final one.) He does need to explain the Freddie Mac deal better -- seems like a fine line there.
Now Santorum’s within 20 points of Romney! I’ll be early voting today for Santorum. Obama will beat Newt as handily as he’ll beat Romney.
My gut feeling is that Coulter'$ opinion is based on homos and money.
The south is flaying Mitt alive. The table has been reset. New Hampshire’s influence is now gone. Their constant effort to allow democrats and independents to choose the republican nominee may finally be breaking.
The great irony with Anne is that she is chiding Newt for his “snotty” remarks to John King, et al. Talk about the pot calling the kettle...
A few more episodes like that should guarantee a few more points for Newt and less for Mitt. Pathetic!
Seriously, Ann is either one of Romney secret Mormon wives, or Newt turned down her offer to be wife number 4 and she feels spurned.
My gut feeling is that Coulter'$ opinion is based on homos and money.
Ding, ding, ding...free set of steal knives to the winner...
and just for the record, it's ALWAYS been about the money.
