Well I can see why the sticker would be required.

I’d be freaking out too if I was a passenger in a car with the steering wheel on the WRONG SIDE!

*Hugs* back at ya!

Winter finally caught up to us here in the heartland.

Not complaining. We’ve had a mild one up until the last couple of days.

Got a few snags in the trip plans to untangle.....but I can go any old time I want. My son has the problems. Looking at after Super Bowl......there's nothing worse than being on a flight or stuck in an airport during Super Bowl.

((Hugs!))

“HUGS” Returned.Knee’s not doing bad,Though I’m Not doing any Marathons so I should be able to survive as long as I don’t injure it further.

Hopefully our weather cooperates thereby preventing further stresses to it.

Several months ago we worked through the Jimmy Webb songbook, and one of Webb’s songs was “P. F. Sloan”, a song about the travails of song writing. Mr. Sloan was not a fictional character, but a real song writer of the Sixties who briefly made it big and then sank into a vertiginous oblivion. For a moment, his star shined brightly. So let’s peruse The P. F. Sloan Songbook.

He started out as Philip Schlein, but his father anglicized the name. His dad bought him a guitar at age 13, and at the music store, who was present but Elvis Presley, who gave Sloan an impromptu guitar lesson.

In 1959, at the age of 14, Sloan went into the studio and wrote and recorded a do-wop tune for Aladdin Records. Aladdin had been one of the great labels of the Fifties, a worthy competitor to Ahmut Ertegun’s Atlantic Records. Aladdin’s stable had some of the great R&B acts of that decade. Sloan’s record went nowhere, and Aladdin went belly-up not long after.
