At the time, Senator Obama was urging Congress not to tolerate an increase that would bring the debt ceiling to $9 trillion. Under President Obama, the debt ceiling has been raised to $14.3 trillion. Even without counting most unfunded liabilities, the national debt is now calculated to be nearing $14.1 trillion. It increases about $4.22 billion per day (each citizen’s share stands at roughly $45K). Thus, Democrats will soon demand that the debt ceiling be raised, lest the sky fall. When they do, they will be asking for a significant boost in a ceiling that is already 60 percent higher than the one Barack Obama said was “a sign of leadership failure” five years ago.
They should take his direct text (updated with today’s number) and send it back to him. Let Obama argue with himself.
And when he does every Repub should get in front of every single microphone or TV camera they can find and point out that their responses are just Obama’s own words.

As strange as that sounds it does seem to be the case. He reminds me of a young punk who owned a tiny company that I accidentally found myself working for for a few months when there seemed to be no other immediate option. He lied with total abandon, seeming to have no idea of the difference between truth and lies. During my first few days of employment I quoted something he had said and a coworker who had been with the company a couple of years broke out laughing at the idea that I even took him seriously. When he realized my confusion he explained that the man was prone to say anything and everything and most of what he said he immediately forgot within the next few minutes. He would speak of elaborate plans as if he meant to follow through with them and it meant no more than if he had simply observed that the weather is nice today. I think he would have sworn in court to tell the truth and then lied about everything. When I accepted the job he listened to someone else tell me how badly they needed me right in the area where I lived, he didn’t open his mouth to say anything different. Within one month of my first day he told me that I needed to relocate because he didn’t have enough work for me where I was. I wound up leaving him and starting a business as his competitor. Obama seems to be very much the same sort except that this guy did at least manage to keep a business running, I don’t think obama has a single clue about business of any size or type.
