Suspected Islamic Extremist Arrested in Plot to Bomb, Shoot Up Locations in Tampa, Fla

Authorities say a 25-year-old described as an Islamic extremist was arrested in a plot to attack sites around Tampa, Florida, after taking possession of disabled guns and bombs

The U.S. Department of Justice announced the arrest of Sami Osmakac on Monday.

Authorities say Osmakac is a naturalized U.S. citizen who was born in the former Yugoslavia. He has been charged with one count of attempted use of a weapon of mass destruction. His first appearance in federal court is scheduled for Monday afternoon.

Federal officials say a confidential source told them that Osmakac wanted Al Qaeda flags. The federal complaint alleges Osmakac gave the agent a $500 down payment for an AK-47, multiple homemade explosive grenades and the explosive belt so he could attack various locations in Tampa.

I’m having a cynical morning, so bear with me.

The USG finds fringe “terrorists”, then encourages them and records their rants. USG makes fake materials available where the fake terrorist would not normally have access. They then swoop in and arrest the guy they encouraged and enabled and loudly screech that they caught a bad one!

Next, DHS announces that they are extending the airline security procedures to bus stations and train stations, and plan to stop random people on the sidewalk. FBI announces plans to monitor Twitter and Facebook. Napolitano issues another flyer on how to look out for dangerous citizens.

Because of the increased terror threat, naturally.

He’s innocent of being an Islamic extremist. He probably IS an Amish POSING as an islamic extremist. As for shooting up and bombing Tampa, well...I can understand that. The beach is on the wrong side. It gets confusing. You know how wrong it is to confuse an Amish while he’s pretending to be an Islamic extremist (as if such a thing truly exists). Let them put their beach in the East, where it belongs.
