UPDATE: An Alabama Court has announced that it will hear arguments as to whether Barack Hussein Obama II is in fact eligible to appear on the State Presidential Primary Ballot.
Several Alabama citizens have filed a lawsuit within the Alabama Circuit Court to "prevent certification of President Barack Obama for 2012 Alabama ballot access pending final hearing based on factual evidentiary hearings."

He and Hillary (and Leahy, McCaskill, Webb and Coburn) were on the committee who discussed it with Chertoff and presented it to the Senate. Of course, the original longer discussion has been scrub a dub dubbed from the internet.
Obama has won this case. She will use her court to make a statement, bucking for the next SCOTUS opening.
Alabama may not keep him off the ballot. What they may be doing is create the legal environment to compell Obama to provide the documentary evidence that people have been asking for.
This puts the onus on Obama to either: 1) provide the documents, or 2) self-choose to not run on the Alabama ballot.
If Obama provides the documents, that then open up another can of worms.
The bottom line seems to be that the only legal entity that has standing are the states themselves, and Alabama is the first state to step up to challenge this.

“And well have a second civil war on our hands.
“Now, if you have an RV and you need to find a safe place until the dust settles, you are more than welcome to park it on my mountain... just bring your own guns, ammo and dog food. ;>)”
For me, Gator, I’ll be safe in my hidey hole little house for a very long time and need nothing. I hope Hussein goes to Sheriff Joe’s jail, wearing a pink jumpsuit.
Sorry for my confusion. I agree with you. My reply should have been to reply #36, written by Snoopers-868th.

But obama (playing Lincoln)will say “go home...I will leave. It’s much better.
What would be MUCH BETTER is for him to be tried, convicted and sentenced to serve some time.
“This is a Federal election matter. A decision by a State Judge to disqualify Obama would immediately be kicked into a Federal Court, mot likely the USSC.”
I don’t believe that is true. Different states have different requirements to appear on the ballot. Look what’s happening in Virginia...
Bingo. That is all. End of story. Obama is not on that State's ballot. Read Article II Section 1. It is up to the State legislatures. It is not justicable by any federal court. It is called separation of powers, and no federal court may legitimately order a State whom its electors may vote for.
I guess the better question would have been whether or not he would still be eligible in other states if denied in a few who have asked him for something he can’t verify.
Placemark...
Not a problem.
Thanks. My quick search found this: http://www.govtrack.us/congress/billtext.xpd?bill=sr110-511 It did not mention that. Your larger point seems correct.
You would always be welcome to my mountain, but I suspect that even as good as I have it here, Texas is a VERY good place to be when the —it hits the fan.
I THINK if I were in Texas, I’d want to be hidin’ in the ‘hill country’.
That's different! That's republicans being kept off a ballot. That's always OK!
Hanged. Traitors are hanged.

“THINK if I were in Texas, Id want to be hidin in the hill country.”
Ha Ha, My closest friends live in the hill country on a mountain and only the brave would break a lock and try to go up that mountain little road, and if they succeeded, two big dogs would tear them up and after that the guns would finish it. Problem with the hill country right now is no water. Some peoples’ wells are running dry. They need lots of rain during this winter or it will get worse. I don’t have to worry about water. And, I have my 3 lb. Yorkie to save me (okay, I also have guns).
I am opting to your points of view Gene and Jacquerie, and I hope that just one State declares him ineligible. If the State does so, and it is not appealable to the Federal Courts, Katy bar the door cause the fur will fly.
Not always hanged but it is a nice thought.
