It isnt just Richard Cordray. Obama is also set to use recess appointments to install his picks to the National Labor Relations Board, according to White House officials and others familiar with ongoing discussions.
The move, which is arguably as impotant as the Cordray appointment, will ratchet up opposition from Republicans and make this an even bigger fight, since they have been attacking the NLRB regularly for its moves to streamline union elections and inform workers of their rights.
Obama is set to appoint Sharon Block, Terence Flynn, and Richard Griffin to the board something unions have made a big priority for them in the new year. Senate Republicans have opposed the recess appointments to the NLRB on constitutional grounds, but unions charge that Republicans are only interested in rendering the agency inoperative.

Time to rid the White House of the human garbage that occupies it.
Call the Orkin man.
Hope he is really, really sick.
Afriend of mine watches Russian and Chinese TV in order to get the news. Russian TV showed Zero signing the NDAA on New Year’s Eve.
Defund the NLRB..
Could the WaPo be any more blatant in their bias?
national media, you mean the national propaganda wing of the left.
How many times have we heard about an American soldier being held by the Taliban?
Strange but now imagine if Bush was in power and they had one of ours for two years or so.
I just ignore the posts.
Usually ignore your posts as it seems you are hardly a conservative but I must wonder what you think now you have been proven wrong but you were quick to jump on this thread and post.
we all knew he was going to do this. This should be reason 1,000,000,0001 that we must rid our nation of this leader through the ballot box before he does more damage.
For this, I place blame on the useless idiots that vow not to support whomever the Republican candidate is because there is not 100% lockstep agreement on everything.
Yea, we can afford four more years of a dictator because the end game is so attractive.
The Dogz been on Obama's side since day one.
This “in your face, NWA stuff” is getting old. Too bad the GOP can’t stop him. The Party of Stupid© at its finest...
...... "The statute creating the CFPB makes clear that only Senate confirmation of a director not a recess appointment can activate the new powers of this agency," ...... Sen. Rob Portman (R-Ohio)
.
Senate Republicans stop all nominations until illegal appointments are withdrawn.
House Republicans refuse to appropriate/budget funds for any part of the executive branch until illegal appointments are withdrawn.
Tea Party Rally in February in DC to protest illegal appointments.
Pledge by Republican Senators & Congressmen to not raise the debt ceiling again until illegal appointments are withdrawn.
.
Or more likely, Mitch McConnell will voice a second (but more mild) objection to this "highly questionable practice" and then life will go on usual. Repubs are usually good for one protest followed by another mild protest in order not to be accused of being racist.
Bottom line is, that McConnell & Boehner & the so-called Repub leadership are literally scared shitless of 0dumb0!
And the Repubs think they will mount a serious challenge to 0dumb0 in the 2012 election? My prediction.... 0dumb0 & the DNC & demoRATs & the media will have the Repubs running shitless in the 2012 election. It will be a massive blowout, no matter what happens to the economy or world events.
WHO IS JOHN GALT?
That's the phrase that I was looking for..... "uncertain legal territory."
Can you imagine the "fear" that 0dumb0 is feeling from this statement? /sarc
0dumb0 is laughing his guts silly at McConnell & the Repukes. Just to make sure they are under no illusion as to who calls the shots, 0dumb0 is going to follow this up with 3 more "uncertain legal" appointments to the NLRB. Mitch McConnell & the Repukes are complete weenies. They have lost every battle against 0dumb0 & the socialist demoRATs since their supposed victory in Nov 2010. What a farce!
[Did you object this strongly to Bushs 17 Recess Appointments?]
RECESS APPOINTMENTS! These aren’t recess appointments, breaking both tradition and consultation.
But we should vote for Obama if Romney gets the nomination, right? Because there is no difference.
If you only wonder ‘sometimes’ what side Trumandogz is on, then you haven’t thoroughly read his past posts. It’s perfectly clear what side he is on and it’s not ours.
I think there is a huge difference between the two men. The biggest being I believe Hussein HATES America, and I do not believe Romney HATES America.
Romney may be wrong on some issues, but I do not believe he hates this country.
