We missed the snow and got rain.

We had already set an all time rain record by Dec 3.

Good evening, Mac...*HUGS*...shopping complete? Any snow?

Temps have stayed below freezing since yesterday and we've had a little snow. No more high wind storms would be nice. Supposed to start being COLD for a week or so!!

So would I. We have so many dead trees and other plants and shrubs here that it’s pitiful to drive down the streets. :(

No snow, Kathy - our temp at 11:00 pm is 52F - cold front moving in - will drop to 35F tonight - rain. Back in the days of my youth, when I was running every day, I found the worst possible weather was rain with temps below 40 - especially if there was any wind, which there usually was. Remember the sting of the raindrops on my face.

Sorry to digress - shopping is complete - wrapping still to do.

A Happy Christmas to you and yours!

I can just imagine..We had a similar deal from the ice storm that snapped trees all over.

I’ve been reading stuff about planting into wood chips...They are great for retaining water.

Mr. Gardener Guy uses the next door neighbor’s pine needles to put down as a blanket in all the gardens. It really does retain moisture and protects plants through the winter. It seems that they are second only to wood chips (native shredded wood) for this.
