By the way, Real Clear Politics (of CHICAGO) did another disgusting thing today to try to help their boy, Romney.

They HAD been holding onto one VERY OLD poll (CNN) for 23 days because that poll came out much more pro-Romney and lower for Gingrich than most.
Poll Date Sample Gingr. Romney
RasmussenRepts	11/30 - 11/30	1000 LV 38	17
CNN/Opinion.Res	11/18 - 11/20	402 A 24	20

They kept the CNN poll for 23 days, but today, they eliminated that one PLUS RASMUSSEN which is still only 13 days old today.

They SHOULD be consistent, and honest, and keep Rasmussen in their 'averages' for the same amount of time! (23 days).

But if they did that: Gingrich would be at 35.6 in their RCP Average, Romney would be at 21.2 in their RCP Average,
and the spread would be Gingrich +14.4.

Romney's fundraising would soon dry up, and RCP knows it!

I'd be worried less about the "general electorate" right now. Obama's likely to win but Newt, if he's the nominee, will have time to present his case and build support.

Also, what matters is the swing states and polling shows Newt and Romney both doing very well at this point against Obama in those states.

It doesn't matter if Obama gets mammoth CA and NY turn out for "the popular vote" if he goes down hard in the electoral college.

Geez, Mormon has nothing to do with any of this! You are so far out of bounds that it is just stupid!

Newt is a socialist and Romney is more of a socialist - can’t you just accept the facts?

You can vote for whomever you believe in but don’t give the the Mormon carp!

You're quite foolish if you think the MSM wouldn't use the Mormon stuff against Romney if he gets the nomination.

Newt is only rising in the polls about the primaries.

As for Newt’s unfavorables, it’s like this:

His nomination will have the same effect on Democrats that the nomination of Nancy Pelosi would have on Republicans.

Newt is not new to most voters. They have already formed an opinion of him from long ago and not much is likely to change that opinion.

Though that’s certainly not a given.

Exactly. The "general electorate" is MUCH less important right now. The sheeple in the non-battleground states, and in the states that do NOT have a primary soon, are still MOSTLY SLEEPING. They are NOT FOLLOWING this primary as closely. Those states WILL come around and mostly coincide with the PRIMARY STATES when their time comes.

That's why the MSM keeps pumping those putrid polls about "Obama vs Gingrich" or "Obama vs Romney". They do that WHENEVER someone gets way ahead of ROMNEY, and they do NOT want to report that. They want to sucker-punch the new leading 'Anti-Romney' as much as possible, and meanwhile postpone releasing their nationwide MSM polls as long as possible.

So they report those meaningless trash polls instead, like (Obama vs Easter Bunny).

It makes no difference how people poll vs Obama right now. That will matter later, after we all coalesce around the GOP nominee.

And besides we do not necesarily WANT whomever might poll the BEST against Obama, because THAT might be a RINO or a recent 'Rat convert. We want the most conservative GOP'er who is likely to beat Obama. We can't go "hard-core fringe Right" (most likely) or we'd lose to Zero. So its a balancing act. We want someone to the right, but not unelectably "too far" to the right.

( Gingrich-haters, please do not address or reply to me.)

Only effects those that vote! Of course the MSM will use this and everything they can to discourage voting for him. Not the point I was making...but valid.

Most would not take that into consideration when voting against either Obama or anyone else...

What I want to know is why did Romney think that capitalism was good enough for him but socialism was good enough for Massachusetts via RomneyCare.

I was going to comment, then I read 5 letters M S N B C.

The Liberal media wants to pick our candidate. Let conservatives pick the DNC candidate. We can pick one who can’t possibly win.

Find a radical America and freedom hating Statist who has never had a real job or even have been a mayor. He’d never win...oh wait.

We could see a third candidate enter the race and get the nomination.

...while we overlook the possible TRUMPeting 3rd party elephant in the room.

Your graph in #27 applies only to today and yesterday. Keep that in mind.

Once Iowa starts voting, you can throw that S.O.B. in the trash because people (us) will support the survivors of Iowa and dump the rest.

Those are my sentiments as well. The last thing anybody should do is base their primary vote upon what the media polls tell them,,, that’s just playing right into their hands and the whole reason for those polls to begin with.

“...hope my vote will count for something this time. ...”

Think of it this way: Your vote cancels out one Liberal’s vote.

That alone is enough to send me to the booth every election day.

So we got one guy who can win the primary but not the election. And we’ve got another guy who can win the election, but not the primary.

Let's all just roll up in the fetal position, put a blanket over our heads and die!

It's nonsense to believe Newt or whoever the nominee is can't be a President presiding over the worst economy in over 30 years.

Screw the Obama vs Romney and Obama vs Newt polls. They mean nothing right now. Once the country knows who the Republican candidate is, the election will be about one thing only: Barack “Barry” Hussien Obama-Dunham-Soetero-Obama.

I agree with this! Maybe, just maybe Newt's smart enough to come up with an effective plan to deal with the general election. We're so used to our candidates rolling over & not fighting that we think our future candidates will do the same. Newt is a fighter, and no one likes Obama. He can snatch the presidency from zero's undeserving hands.

That is true and I do vote and held my nose and voted for McLame.

I will vote for the Republican candidate whom ever it ends up being.

If Donald Trump does run for ‘12 POTUS as an Independent, then the final ‘12 GOP POTUS choice would have difficulty winning the ‘12 general election. If the major ‘12 POTUS choices are between, just, the “D” and the “R”, then the GOP will have a much better chance of winning the general election, even if the “D” ends up not being Obama.

My major concern with Newt is how to be sure that he will be a “small government conservative” and not a “big government conservative”, if/when Newt is POTUS.

I can’t wait for the TV show, “The Magic Underwear”. The polls will be rising from this show.
