Herman Cain is expected to make a "major announcement" today, anytime between 11am and 1pm EST in Atlanta. The media is assuming he will quit the race. Politico is positively glowing with anticipation of this. Will he fold, or FIGHT? He is also opening a new Atlanta HQ. Twitter reports that people are jamming in early to show their support.
We simply don't know what will happen, or when it will happen. What are your thoughts? Do you think he should quit? Or do you think Cain should stay in the race and deny the State-Run Media yet another GOP scalp on a platter - for unproven allegations -while they allow a vile rapist like Clinton, or commie cokehead like Obama breeze through unscathed?

He owes it to his supporters, if nobody else, to get to the bottom of this. If he doesn’t sue for libel, I will have to believe that he is guilty as charged.
As many have said, if they can get away with this, it’s all they will ever do. We have libel laws for a reason.
But then, we have a lot of laws for a reason - but right now we have no rule of law. I just read a transcript of Ann Barnhardt saying that the whole financial industry is so lawless that all she can do is get out of it altogether. All she will trade in is actual physical commodities, bypassing anything with the financial industry because it is flat-out highway robbery going on - and with nobody willing to do anything to even try to re-establish the rule of law. Sounds like anybody who is a friend of Obama can do anything they darn well please - even rob people of a billion or more dollars with impunity.
When Obama broke the bankruptcy laws to give secured investors’ assets to the unions instead, it should have told us what was ahead. It was the lawlessness I saw in regards to Obama’s eligibility that convinced me I needed to speak out - because if we allow that kind of lawlessness to go by simply because we’re “embarrassed” to have Chris Matthews or DAvid Axelrod call us crazy, there will be nothing impossible to these crooks, while the rest of us just try to look “cool” while we are robbed, raped, and left for dead on the road.
I look now at that first post I wrote, to explain why the eligibility issue matters, and I wish I had been wrong. I wish that my warnings that total lawlessness was on its way if we didn’t stand up now had been totally off-the-mark. But now even those who have ridiculed the eligibility issue are having to acknowledge that we’re living in a state of lawlessness.
At this point I don’t know if we can make it to another election. More and more people are saying there’s a huge crash coming. We’ve been told Israel is going to hit Iran before the year’s end (as a result of Obama pulling the troops out of Iraq by then), and that Iran will respond badly. Congress is working on making sure Obama can occupy the entire US and allow the military to do whatever he wants it to do when the crash and/or Iranian attack hits.
Maybe the python is already too tight around our neck. Maybe we never were even going to make it to the next election, which is why Obama has been a do-nothing dip who didn’t even pretend to make a decent birth certificate forgery. Maybe the stuff with Cain was to distract us from getting ready for what is to come, or to actually insist that Congress do something to impeach the entire Obama regime which refuses to EXECUTE the laws (ENFORCE the rule of law).
We’re so worried about electing a POTUS who wants to make the right laws, etc. But the job of the chief executive is to enforce and execute the decisions made by the legislative branch. Right now we have NO LAW ENFORCEMENT. That’s what Barnhardt was saying; the whole financial industry is pillaging at will with nobody even trying to enforce the law. That’s because enforcement is up to the executive branch.
The only way we can avert anything, I suspect, is if the House had an emergency meeting calling for immediate impeachment of the entire executive branch, with some kind of restraining order so that somebody outside the regime would carry out the duties of law enforcement while the current lawless batch is being tried for crimes against the American people. Including the alleged POTUS, Barack Hussein Obama.
But hey, if we can’t even stand with somebody accused of an affair without any proof, I think we can kiss that prospect good-bye. Darryl Issa went through this charade of trying to find out what was going on with Fast & Furious, including seeing whether Eric Holder had perjured himself - only to say it’s up to Obama to decide whether Holder can stay as AG or not. Good Lord! Why are we wasting money on an investigation if the crooks are gonna get to decide whether they can continue being crooks or not?
Sorry this is so long. I just don’t see any hope for this country. I think the boa is too tight around our necks already. Nobody has the balls to do what has to be done. It’s going to come down to street-to-street combat when the communist-Islamist revolution takes over. Possibly by year’s end.
What are you talking about - Gov. Perry’s stance on abortion? The last I heard he was very much against it. Has that changed? It would definitely change my opinion of him if I found out he wasn’t completely pro-life. (I’m a convert since 2005, too.)

I see it as even worse than being a serial adulterer. He gave his first wife divorce papers THE DAY AFTER SURGERY FOR UTERINE CANCER!!! THE DAY AFTER! That’s NOT what I call “sticking with his family”.
Then his 2nd wife? She had just been diagnosed with MS! He told her during a counseling session she basically had to demand of him that she “is a jaguar, and I need a Chevy”.
It’s also been reported that he had already proposed to his next wives BEFORE divorcing his current ones.
[PS - it was a different time and place, but his 1st wife was his GEOMETRY TEACHER - he was 16 when they reportedly began their romance... Nowadays, she would have been put in jail, and rightfully so, IMHO.]

I don’t know who I’ll support now - however, I have SERIOUS qualms about supporting Mr. Gingrich. I don’t know if it still stems from my own history as I was still making that journey from liberal to conservative, but even looking back on it now I can’t say that Newt was “set-up”, and that his downfall was all a result of Dem tricks.
It’s going to take some time to look again with a clear-head. If I had to vote TODAY I’d probably stay home. If the vote was TOMORROW - I’d probably stay home as well. Seeing that it’s a little less than 12 months till the REAL election - who knows what I’ll decide. I’m in a wait and see mode now.
If it were me, I would simply move on and make the best with what we have. And, watching Newt perform lately, I have no qualms about his ability. He is like us, another human being. He is the first to understand that also.
Just sit back and observe without too much emotion. Look at it from a logical perspective, and it starts to look much better, especially after you see how well Newt handles himself and truly does have good qualities. The harder you look at him, the better he looks.

I grew up in a military family; father was a career officer in the Marine Corps. I spent 37 years working as a civilian for the Army and worked w/green suiters every day. The military are professionals; they respect the law and will defend the Constitution as they are sworn to do.
I know you are anxious and concerned; however, now is not the time for panic. Herman dropping out is disappointing; but, it is not the end of the world. Have more faith in yourself and the American people.

Well my number one is Cain, and that’s not going to change. I made a promise and I’ll stick to it until he’s mathematically eliminated.
My number 2 is Santorum. He’s got the principles, and he’s way better than NOOT.
I was all in for Sarah, thought about Cain was leaning Newt but now I am having a look at Paul. Sure wish Sarah was in it, oh well.

I see Issa investigating Holder and finding him totally lawless and corrupt - but then Issa saying that it’s up to OBAMA to decide whether a criminal can stay in office!
Every “hero” has failed us. Every one. This system eats heroes for breakfast so it can have strength to spend the rest of the day scattering the rest of us.
Your advice to get away from this is well-taken and I’m going to do that. I came back on to see if anybody had any advice about a firearm to protect the family with, but had meant it to be just a quick check and then I’ll put up our Christmas tree or something that reminds me of things I really can count on. Right now it feels like everything I hold dear is dying. I loved America. I don’t think she can survive this cancer that’s eating her alive, body and soul.

I admit to being disappointed with this turn of events, but until Herman Cain announces that his campaign is OVER and not just ‘suspended’, I will continue to support and stand with him. That isn’t being a zealot, that is doing the right and honorable thing. Herman Cain has been falsely accused. No evidence has ever been produced which actually proved a damn thing. Just a pack of lying whores enabled and encouraged by the lamestream media, ‘Rats, RINOs and other assorted dirtbags.
What has distressed me more than Herman Cain suspending his campaign, was to witness the blatantly racist comments which have been posted in this forum, comments that can only be interpreted as reflecting some sadly bigoted souls behind the applicable keyboards that have generated such crap.
Now you Ozy, coming from a Marine family will most likely know of the man I’m going to mention next, a man that I would like to see drafted at the convention as our nominee just as Eisenhower was drafted in ‘52, former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Peter Pace, USMC. I know of no finer man, no more honorable man, than General Pace.
Unfortunately the good General has (up to this point) expressed little if any interest in running for elective office. I suspect he is simply too damn honest for it. But I would love to see a grass roots campaign begun in an effort to try and bring him into the race, be it write in, or whatever. But that’s just me. General Pace would very likely be attacked and savaged by the ‘UniParty’ of ‘Rats and RINOs and establishment statists, just as they went after Sarah Palin and Herman Cain.
