On the O'Reilly Factor tonight...Dennis Miller stated "I'm off the Cain Train." after endorsing him and helping Cain do a few fundraisers a couple of months ago.
It had nothing to do with him switching sides. Miller is a lame commentator. He isn’t really a conservative.
ditto.
he looks goofy.
Dennis Miller endorses Herman Cain
Dennis Miller Endorses Herman Cain: Can I Tell You How Jazzed I Am About This Cat?
So all these candidates - originally recruited to stop Sarah - are out there working their butts off but are secretly planning to lose to Mitt - who is secretly planning to lose to Obama? You’re saying this is the GOP plan?
I think Sarah didn’t run because she and her family was in very real danger and on top of that I think the GOP made it completely clear they wouldn’t support her because they knew she would disrupt too many gravy trains. And then - even worse - we had freepers here last night who - because Sarah decided not to run the gauntlet - say “she’s dead to me” or “I wouldn’t vote for her for dogcatcher”. Such a loyal base. /s
Seems to me that for the sake of Sarah and her family she made the right decision - they weren’t going to let her win - no matter what it took. They have too much money at stake. Unfortunately for the direction of our country it’s a huge loss.
To be fair....Obama’s ‘”Under my plan of a cap and trade system, electricity rates would necessarily skyrocket” S.F. Chronicle board video was released.....But of course in 2008 most of the media didn’t report it.
Is there a point to your posting this?
Well Cain also said he asked Henry Kissinger to be his SOS. Henry Kissinger is nearly 90. And yes, he said later he was kidding, but if you look at the original clip its clear he was being very sincere.
I’m afraid Cain has put on his leather jacket, revved up the Harley, and jumped the shark.
“...If he were a slick politician, he would have just said no I don’t think he handled it correctly, and forced the reporter to ask a followup question which would have given him time to think....”
Just like Jerry Brown would answer a reporter’s question with the question, “What do you mean by that?” Which caused the reporter to reword the question and give Jerry time to come up with something of an answer.
Not me. I’m still on it.
Now don’t go fogging everything up with the truth!!!
Seriously folks, Dennis is incredibly intelligent and I think he’s great guy. However I never credited him as deep policy thinker.
Keep in mind, this is the guy who was on the Ruddy G. bandwagon last go-round.
I heard Dennis on his radio show today when He said he was moving his support away from Cain. It had nothing to do with the attacks, but more along the lines that he just can’t win because of attacks, stumbles and bumbles. In other words, it ain’t personal, Miller wanted to check out the options. In that assessment, we are all checking out the options.
I like Cain but by the time the primaries come around here in CA it will all be decided. I will have no say in the matter. So I too am checking out all the other candidates to see what the options are.
Just because someone says they are checking out the field further, doesn’t mean they are a “F’ing liberal”.
Ah, so that's it.
I really can't see Miller buying Gingrich's stuff. So, I wondered.
I think it's a little early yet to say Cain can't win. Just two weeks ago no one thought Newt could win. So many gaffes, -- no, not just gaffes, downright slips on pander-peels -- you know.
Do you “really” think that’s interesting!!
I just started reading the thread and you asked a great question. Looking forward to reading the response. :/)
According to this thread, Miller said his reason was that he didn’t think Cain could win, and that if he thought he could win, he’d support him in an instant, and that he doesn’t rule out supporting him again in the future.
So I think the headline for your vanity, while technically accurate, is a little misleading.
I don’t think that was stupid. If, as the campaign said later, he did so on 4 hours sleep, that was probably a bad idea. If he offered to answer questions about foreign policy, and decided not to learn foreign policy beforehand, that was probably a mistake.
I’m afraid you could be right. You know I was watching the military channel the other night. They had this German lady on talking about how disgusted the people in Germany were over the poor economy etc. back when Hitler was elected.
They had just had it with the politicians. They really liked the idea of a regular citizen being elected to save their country. Hitler had no record in office to examine; This of course immediately made me think of the parallels that exist today.
Our country too is in danger from within, and so far, there is no Reagan to help lead us out of the darkness, but it ain’t over till the fat lady sings.
Yep. Slick politician. Moonbeam politician. Whatever.
You are just MEAN !!!
