Results from new poll of GOP primary voters from Democratic firm Public Policy Polling: Newt Gingrich (28 percent), Herman Cain (25 percent), Mitt Romney (18 percent), Rick Perry (6 percent), Michele Bachmann and Ron Paul (5 percent), Jon Huntsman (3 percent), Rick Santorum and Gary Johnson (1 percent).
One particularly interesting note from PPP: Theres reason to think that if Cain continues to fade, Gingrich will continue to gain. Among Cains supporters 73 percent have a favorable opinion of Gingrich to only 21 percent with a negative one.

Ever wonder why the media seeks to destroy America instead of building up America?
There are numerous clues, most involving money, and probable backroom deals
and discussions the public will never know about. One has to know, in one's heart,
the reasons for all which is good is slandered and ridiculed into a nonexistence
is purposeful to achieve the unthinkable? Such has been from the beginning and will be
till the end. Here is to praying good will win, and that good wins not be only in the end
but here and in the present.
When a good man or woman is destroyed, society looses. Evil is a powerful force, as all know.
Regrettably, evil and evil people are not easily defeated.
How is this related to the analysis on Godfathers ?
My polls are oldest to newest, and I list all polls of the month. Last month on FR, I listed Cain's October polling oldest to newest.
Have the greatest respect for Palin. The media viciously attacked her and her family. They even hacked her email. Sarah drew massive crowds as she travelled throughout the US and spoke to Tea Party Rallys, etc. I wanted DeMint or West of Fla. LTC knows foreign policy! However, we have to select from the slate we are offered...I have watched every debate and concluded that Newt is the best man for the job. ANYONE that gets the gop nomination will have my support. I don’t like Cain’s 999 or 909 or enterprise/empowerment zone policy but Newt shares his view on Detroit and Newt limits it to 10 yrs.
I can honestly say that the Libya question handled by Mr. Mr.Cain was hard to watch to say the least. However, having said that I will vote for this man for POTUS. I will NOT vote for another career politician (hoping something may be different this time) any longer. As far as I am concerned, they are all in bed together and lying and deceiving at the expense of US citizens for self serving purposes only. At this point, I would be very confident in Mr. Cain’s ability to place foreign relations experts and other key cabinet members in positions for the betterment of America and Americans.
If Obama can be called POTUS, ANYONE should have an opportunity. Especially a proven successful business man and TRUE American like Mr. Cain.
The time to make a decision will be after SC and before Florida.
This is going to end up as a three person race: Cain, Newt, & Romney.
Jan 3 - Iowa
Jan 10 - New Hampshire
Jan 21 - South Carolina
Jan 31 - Florida
After Jan 21 (South Carolina) a clear anti-Romney candidate will have emerged. It may be Cain, it may be Newt, it may be Perry. I’m pretty sure it will be one of those three. Whoever it is, we need to at that point rally behind them to prevent a Romney nomination.
I’m a Cain supporter. But, if it’s clear after the 21st that someone else has emerged as the leading anti-Romney candidate, I’ll be urging people support them.
Romney, imho, would be a disaster for the GOP and the Tea Party movement. Stopping the GOP establishment from pushing him on us should be our #1 priority.
Cain & Gingrich having the lead seems to make from a poll perspective; they each seem to be be riding the current news cycle wave.
Romney on the other hand... I still don’t see (anecdotal I know) the outpouring of support for him that polls would suggest.
You know that there was no balanced budget.
The debt service alone at that time was an additional 51% of the disclosed budget, so in reality, Noot’s budget was massively in the red; why didn’t he tell us that?
Newt is not faintly conservative. He embraces every feel-good leftist/globalist idea out there.
Newt is the very least qualified of all the candidates. He is a smooth talker, and has zero moral qualms about offering what the people want to hear, while knowing full well that he will act in the opposite manner. We cannot afford to let that man loose in power.
Your deliberate misrepresentation of Cain is starting to make me wonder where you are on the spectrum.
>> “Arent you inconsistent?” <<
.
No, I’ve made my views plain.
999 won’t even get introduced in the House.
yup. Cain is my guy too.
Here is where I am on the spectrum:
Pro-God, pro-Life, pro-gun, pro-NATURAL marriage and family, pro-American exceptionalism, pro fiscal solvency and sanity, pro-Military, pro-strong national defense, pro-constitution, and pro-small government.
No candidate will pass as a conservative with me who is not pro-God and pro-Life.
Gingrich passes on all the above with mistakes along the way, most of which he has acknowledged as mistakes.
You were doing great until you got to Ginrich.
Why are you so blind to the real Newt Ginrich?
Why do you suppose he sheltered Clinton from China-Gate scrutiny? Think about it!
“Or, bashing the Ryan plan”
The tail doesn’t wag the dog.
Same guy. I don’t see why he’s a reliable source on anything, least of all Cain. He’s a fruit.
So you are admitting to slinging mud? Thank you. Apparently you can dish it out but you sure can’t take it.
I disagree with your ‘analysis’. Yes, I saw the interview. I thought he did fine for a hostile interview that was set up to cast him in the worst light possible. Then they tried to lie about his support of Scott’s plan which didn’t work either.
I’m hoping that FReepers will side with Cain and not the Wisconsin media that is trying to destroy him, but I guess that’s too much to ask...
Extremely risky attack. His ex-wife has been very supportive of Newt.
Well he’s not going to win the nomination now so forget about it. I deal in reality.
That’s petty.
Thanks....I'm honored. Well, not really honored...more like flattered. No wait, my uncle got flattered......."
