Some Democrats Are Wary of Occupy Wall Street
By Alex Roarty

Pinched by a still sour economy and a deeply pessimistic public, President Obama and his Democratic allies are evincing a sharper, far more populist message as a defense against next year's Republican charge. Highlighted by a $450 billion proposal in Congress, paid for by taxing the wealthy, they have found a message tailor-made for their traditional base.
But their new tone and, most notably, the emergence of the populist-fueled Occupy Wall Street movement, have left some Democrats worried. They are nervous that the president's newfound rhetoric will alienate key swing voters, and they're urging a softer tone that they think closely hews to the one favored by moderates.
The dilemma is an old one for Democrats, or for Republicans for that matter. Political parties always have to balance the competing demands of their most fervent base of supporters with their moderate wings. But Democrats face fresh tension this year because of the perilous state of Obama's re-election and the evident fraying of their coalition, one inherently more dependent on moderates than the Republican coalition.

Lather, rinse, repeat - with a water cannon.
Nope, sorry—your leadership already embraced that pile of smelly hippie filth. You’re stuck with/on it.
snicker
Just as Herman Cain said......stupid people are running America.
No dems, we already know you want to eat people, you ****in psychos.
I don’t believe any DIMs are “wary” of the OWS weirdos. If anything, they want to join them. The so-called protestors are just doing what good DIMs do, that’s all.
They have let the blood lusting pinko out of the bag. Hillary wants to quick put it back in before the American public sees it.
I believe they are one and the same. They are the left, the far left, the national socialist party, the communists, the islamofacists.
All of Hell’s demons to be perfectly frank.
I give you one guess as to whom their piper is.
I liked the article.
It made me laugh.
It’s too late—the longer this goes on, the more Americans disapprove of it. Sure, the MSM will play the “poor oppressed protestor” card, but even that only works for so long, especially when those who are DIRECTLY affected by the OWS protestors (such as in the surrounding neighborhoods, which I’m sure they’re **REAL** happy about.)
I got this from a banned site (can’t post his blog entries) but his name is U L S T E R M A N and you can easily find his blog. Anyway, a comment on a recent post pasted copied text out of a moveon.org email for everyone to see:
Its official they are planning an action against the banks. This will be their Reichstag fire moment, where some of the protesters will be persuaded to trash some banks, and the hope is that somebody gets hurt or killed in the process. Here it is direct from the horses [mouth]:
Dear MoveOn member,
Its time to Make Wall Street Pay in our communities.
The 99% protesters have brought incredible national attention to Wall Streets greed and the corporate capture of our democracy, and now a campaign to move our money out of the big banks is spreading virally online, with tens of thousands of people joining in.
So were going all in with a big day of action on November 5, picketing Wall Street banks at their Main Street branches all across the country. Well gather at banks across America to let them know that were moving our money and asking everyone whos part of the 99% to do the same.
Unless the big banks start investing in our communities again, and stop the mass foreclosures, charging of ridiculous new fees, and undercutting of any chance for economic renewal, its time for us to take our business elsewhere. The government bailed them outits up to us to call them out.
We need someone to lead a Make Wall Street Pay action against a local big bank branch in YOUR TOWN on November 5. Can you?
When you look at what the Occupiers are actually asking, you see that it’s things so outlandish that they aren’t even in Obama’s own legislative agendas. Come on, $20/hr minimum wage? Treat all student loans as gifts, without worrying about whether budgeting consequences are going to dry up any future such financing immediately? It’s folly that the liberal MSM reports with a sober face, but still folly.
Now that they have copious leakers in their midst spilling the beans on stuff like this, they are sitting ducks for RICO charges.
And what’s the statute of limitations on such shenanigans? Surely it isn’t so short that a Republican administration in early 2013 could not go after them, is it? Another reason for the taxpayer to want such an administration?
LOL! The 5th is a Saturday. What's with these idiots pulling all their big bad stunts on Saturdays when these places are closed?
Banks are not closed on Saturdays. Branches are open until noon in many locations. It is actually a prime time for general banking in many branches on the first Saturday of the month. A busy crunch time...I used work as both a teller and platform person.
PS. Not sure if they have them near you, but we also have “in-store” grocery store branches that on a busy Saturday morning such antics would cause a big, big scene in front of a lot of people stuck in check-out lanes.
I guess I'm too used to living in Podunk Nowhere. The banks around here are closed on Saturdays. I believe the credit union in a neighboring town is open until noon but that's it.
