So much for all of those “confused” Republican voters, especially those who align themselves with the Tea Party movement.

Yeah the Tea Party threw full support behind Christine O’Donnell and SHE just endorsed Romney.

This is the text of an e-mail I got from her the other day:

Why I contributed to Gov. Romney.

One of the problems with our current president is that he was too inexperienced when he was sworn in. This lack of executive leadership is the reason Pres. Obama has no problem leading from behind and serving as our Follower in Chief. As a result, our economy is a mess and it's just getting worse. Voters are craving strong leadership. Mitt has it. He’s one of the only front runners with both successful government executive experience and successful business executive experience. This is a strong contrast to Pres. Obama.

And the very thing that Gov. Romney was criticized for in 2008, I find appealing heading into 2012. In the midst of such turmoil and uncertainty, it's comforting that he's strong, solid and stands as an unmovable Oak tree in the middle of a raging storm. Viscerally, voters will respond to that as the Obama Administration falls more and more into chaos.

I hope the fact that I stood up to the liberal establishment within my own party gives me the bona fides among conservatives to say the following; I find the tone and nastiness of some of the things circulating around the internet about Romney extremely offensive. His words and actions are being twisted out of context and well, maybe I am not so objective here, but I think it is below the belt to be so blatantly deceptive about a candidate's positions. This is the other reason I contributed to Gov. Romney. I don't think he is getting a fair shake from some within my own movement. While we may not agree with 100% of his positions, he’s been a champion against a liberal bastion and deserves our respect.

When I tweet about Gov. Romney or mention that I am leaning towards getting behind him, for the most part, people agree with me. Yet what concerns me is the intensity with which a few disagree. This intensity concerns me not only because it is misplaced, but because it could cost us the election if Romney does become our nominee.

Let me explain:

Right now a lawn gnome could beat Obama in 2012, so, yes, we can be picky, but not nasty or malicious. If we don't stop the Republican cannibalism we're simply turning this election over to the Democrats, who certainly don't deserve it. We should learn a lesson from what happened in my race last year. I was consistently beating my democratic opponent in the pre-primary head to head match up... and then the Republican Establishment launched their shameless attack and changed all that. As the saying goes, a lie runs around the world while the truth is still lacing up its shoes. So when I see Romney's record being so obviously distorted and twisted, I tend to empathize.

We as a movement need to be relentlessly picky in House and Senate Races to Ensure Strong Willed Constitutionalists Are Elected to Congress.

Additionally, those (few) who have that intense reaction against Gov. Romney need to remember that as President, he is not writing or passing legislation. He is signing or vetoing what Congress sends to him. Therefore, we as a movement need to focus our scrutiny and attention on electing a strong willed Congress. We need to ensure that more solid Constitutional Republicans are serving in both the House and the Senate. It is in these races where we must be relentlessly picky. They also need to remember that Pres. Reagan was considered moderate by many until he stepped into the Oval office and cleaned up the economic mess we were in.

I also contributed to Hermain Cain, who should be our next Sect. of Treasury or Federal Reserve Chairman.

I did also give to Cain's campaign, yet can safely say I will not give to Cain any more. I wanted to help push him to the next level to see how he would do under this increased pressure. I like Cain personally and I think he is holding Democrats accountable for their blind allegiance to our Follower in Chief. For that reason, I want to help him stay in the race as long as possible, hence the donation. Yet I don't know if Cain can withstand the onslaught that will inevitably come during the General Election. And I don't like the third 9 in his 999 plan. While in my mind he’s no longer a contender, I do think he should be our next Federal Reserve Chairman or Secretary of Treasury.

>>How could this be? I thought Brit Hume had declared that Cain had peaked?<<

Yes, that’s clearly what the political commentators are looking for, i.e., Cain to crash and burn under close examination, just as Bachmann and Perry did before him.

I think what they’re missing is that Cain has some of what we called Reagan’s “Teflon” quality. Criticism of his day-to-day “gaffes” seems to be sliding off of him without doing serious damage. At least that’s what appears to be happening.

And, if so, I think it’s because, as with Reagan, he seems comfortable with his principles, and those principles are aligned with the vast majority of Republican voters (and a hell of a lot of Independents as well.)

I might be wrong, but I don’t think Cain is going to see his ratings dip the way Perry’s and Bachmann’s did. I also don’t think Gingrich is going to catch on, even though he’s supposedly such a great thinker...so explain his huge gaffe when he panned Paul Ryan’s budget plan, a gaffe that possibly cost him his chance...

But, we’ll know in a month or so...

Incidentally, I watched Cain’s entire 40+ minute speech to the AZ Republicans that someone linked to in another thread. He is an absolutely great speaker...no notes that I could see, no teleprompter...no stepping on his own lines...he even managed to ask for a glass of water and get it without interrupting the flow of his delivery. He is every bit as good a public speaker as Reagan was, and is drawing from the same principles. And now both the MSM and the Republican establishment are now trying to paint him as a simpleton....perfect!

Given the present attitude the ‘LameStream’ media is in I fully expect to read stories about how Cain’s candidacy is going to or is crashing six months into first term as President.

Cain is for real, and unlike Romney, he doesn’t flat line below the winner’s mark.

Christine O’Donnell once again demonstrates her inexperience and political immaturity. The progressive establishment isn’t the answer to the left, no matter how slick and experienced the candidate. That slickness is molded from politics and pragmatism, not principles. America has had more than enough of that. Let’s try someone whose politics are a result of his conservative principles and character.

For Romney followers, some info. from the past you should know;

Romney’s Trouble With Truth Extends Beyond Illegal Lawn Care Employees
Posted By AWR Hawkins On October 22, 2011 (2:11 pm) In 2012 Election, Immigration, Politics

Mitt Romney is always quick to lambast other Republicans for being career politicians, as if this is his first rodeo and he is a political newcomer. However, the truth is he’s been in politics for over seventeen years, many of which have been spent appealing to liberals and moderates and fighting to keep from being identified with Ronald Reagan.

Yet the more one goes back and listens to the things Romney’s been saying during his nearly two decades of public service, the more one has to wonder why he thought someone would link him to Reagan in the first place.

For example, while trying to unseat Senator Ted Kennedy in 1994, Romney said:

“I believe that abortion should be safe and legal in this country. I have since the time that my mom took that position when she ran in 1970 as a U.S. Senate candidate. I believe that since Roe v. Wade has been the law for 20 years, that we should sustain and support it. And I sustain and support that law.”

Someone needs to corner Romney on this statement and force him to explain whether he still holds to it in part or in whole.

And on guns, Romney would be a disaster. For example, while trying to the secure the Republican nomination that eventually went to John McCain, Romney appeared on ‘Meet the Press’ with Tim Russert and said:

“I don’t line up 100% with the NRA. I supported the assault weapon ban [as governor].”

And he went on to explain that he supported the Brady Law in its original form.

What I’ve learned by listening to Romney is that you have to be aware of the fact that he thinks well enough on his feet to slip past troublesome topics and seize on others more favorable to his ambitions. This lets him get away with telling a few half-truths (or half-lies, depending on how you like to frame it).

For instance, when Rick Santorum called him out on Romneycare in the debate Tuesday night, Romney moved to cut him off by saying, “This is something that was crafted for Massachusetts.” In other words, Romney’s response was that his plan was a state plan and was meant to be nothing more.

So Santorum followed up: “That’s not what you said [in your book].” And to this, Romney first denied he’d said such a thing in his book, then reiterated a slightly different version of his first answer, and then acted somewhat aghast that Santorum would dare tell him what he wrote in his own book.

All the while, the truth is that in his book Romney wrote, “We can accomplish this same thing for everyone in the country.”

Speaking of the last debate, one of the most revealing moments came when Gov. Rick Perry called Romney out for hiring illegal aliens and allowing them to work his property. Somewhat aghast (once more), Romney looked at Perry and said “I don’t think I’ve ever hired an illegal in my life.”

Quick side note: When Romney said “I don’t think I’ve ever…” instead of “I know I’ve never…” it was clear that he had something to hide. So I watched carefully, hoping that Gov. Perry would hang on for dear life because he had obviously latched onto something that Romney didn’t want to discuss.

And sure enough, Perry stuck with the topic and within a few minutes Romney admitted he’d hired a lawn company to work on his property and that the lawn company had employed illegal aliens without his knowledge. In other words, Romney had at least indirectly hired illegal aliens and they had worked his property just as Perry suggested.

Moreover, in 2007 when Romney was making that first run for the Republican presidential nomination, a Boston Globe investigation forced him to admit he had re-hired the illegal aliens after supposedly telling them they couldn’t do work on his property. This is something else Perry asserted and Romney denied during Tuesday’s debate.

The bottom line: Romney has a problem telling the truth. And when he does tell the truth, conservatives should have a problem with many of the positions he takes (and has taken) on the issues.

Not only is he not a conservative, he’s nowhere close to being one.

Everyone should watch that 40-min speech.

And everyone should watch Gingrich at the Faith and Freedom conference.

Those are our two best choices.

Oh I don’t argue with supporting her. what I have a problem with is not vetting Candidates thoroughly.

Many of her “skeletons” would have been exposed and help making such a high profile endorsement less likely.

That is why I kept talking about vetting candidates BEFORE people jump on their band wagon. Talk is cheap. Anyone that thinks ANY candidate will skate through the process with this Obama supporting msm is dreaming.

Overlooking one persons deficencies, just because they talk a good game is not enough anymore. America is in serious peril and we need serious candidates with serious solutions.

Look at Obamanation today.
He is out today with a retread forclosure plan. He just changed his theme. “We Can’t Wait”

I mean REALLY? This kind of BS HAS to stop.
