Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr., D-Ill., drew heavy criticism from fellow Democrats and his Republican colleagues for demanding President Barack Obama suspend the U.S. Constitution and declare a national jobs emergency.
Jackson told The Daily Caller last week that the president should use "extra-constitutional" authority to resolve the employment crisis by creating jobs outside of the normal legislative process. His comments drew immediate criticism from his primary opponent as well as other members of the House of Representatives.
Former congresswoman Debbie Halvorson, Jackson's Democratic opponent in next year's primary election, said he has failed to introduce a jobs bill during his 16 years in the House.

This man is insane. Literally.
Although Jesse Jackson's demand that Obama 'suspend the constitution' to (supposedly) 'create jobs' (yeah, right) is moronic and would be shocking if it came from a member of congress that wasn't named 'Jesse Jackson, Junior. His 'demand' is a peek into the anti-constitutional, authoritarian mindset of leftists such as Jackson and should be instructive for independent voters and anyone who thinks Obama and the Democrats are patriotic Americans who simply have a slightly different view of how to 'fix' the U.S. economy. Hardly.
These people - leftists - look at authoritarian regimes around the world and salivate at the thought of emulating them, here, with guess who at the top of the heap. They see the U.S. constitution as an impediment to realizing their socialist utopia and would negate it in a heartbeat. Fortunately, America's founders knew such people would always be around and gave us as many protections from them as possible in the brilliant political document we cherish as our nations constitution.

The RATS will read the constitution on this issue like all other issues. The will read things that are not there and get their Obama, Clinton, and Carter appointed Federal Judges to agree with them.

Jobs doing what, exactly?
JJJr has also suggested that the fedgov hire everyone who is unemployed for $40K. Which would immediately destroy the US economy as retail outlets and fast food and many other industries will be empty.
I am thinking we trade by suspending his constitutional right to exist! I will see your suspension and rais you one! Kidding of course.. When he speaks we win!

It’s time to require that certain items be produced in America, it’s a no go to have them made elsewhere if Americans can’t buy them cause they have no jobs. Wake up fools. Some items are made to order job producers, which will employ certain workers. Made in China and scrapped here ain’t gonna work.

You can point out proposals like this to a sheeperal, and they’ll say “well, they didn’t get it done”, or “he’s only one of 535 congresspeople”.
