Aside from lawyers, the worst business dealings I’ve had were with Mormons.
Of course democrats will try to use religion or any other issue to discredit the eventual republican candidate. Are you suggesting that makes it okay for republicans to use religion as lever against each other? Should the conduct of democrats set the lowest acceptable level of conduct?
Because Romney is a flip-flopper and has other issues does that make it acceptable to use religion to sway the opinion of others?
I am not a Romney booster but I do not like the idea of using religion to discredit a candidate or alienate voters just because one is dissatisfied with his or her previous performance or expressed positions.

I mean, here both Utah & Nevada Mormon voters voted 94% against the non-Mormon candidate in '08 POTUS election...per solid exit poll data.

Well first pray hard that he's not....I don't have much faith in this election working out for the conservatives no matter who gets it. The corruption in Washington is so thick and the tenticles entrenched so deeply..and growing like a vine throughout the entire political system that it's not hard to see things may not be turned around anytime soon...even with a win for the Rebublicans.
However we do vote and I will not lay down that privledge because I do not like our choices. But I cannot see myself voting for Romney.....
I held my nose for McCain....I'd be throwing up voting for Romney!..and worse somehow trying to justify to myself that voting for a media/democratic fed Rhino carrying the same agenda as Obama is now, is somehow justifiable?? Do I want my signiture on that?
I don't think so....at least with Obama we know what we are fighting...he's made that clear. With Romney we'll never know which way he'll move. High risk voting as I see it.
I am moving with the possibility of a write-in candidate....unless Newt moves up there higher.

Hmm...don't we Christians take our cultural cue from a certain "Lord" named Jesus Christ? Who are we to follow when it comes to setting cultural priorities? Jesus and the apostle Paul? or Confab and Sea Parrot?

"I tell you, my friends, do not be afraid of those who kill the body and after that can do no more. But I will show you whom you should fear: Fear him who, after the killing of the body, has power to throw you into hell. Yes, I tell you, fear him." (Luke 12:4-5)
So does Jesus say, "fear the bombers?" (No)
Instead, does He say to exercise fear of the One who has authority to cast somebody into hell? (Yes)
So, indeed, our "fear" is on behalf of those who are placing their eternal spiritual lives at risk.
(Besides. Some of us can multi-task re: opposition)
