It was literally a show stopper.
At the end of his "60 Minutes" interview with Lesley Stahl, GE CEO Jeff Immelt asked her: "I don't know why you don't" root for GE, and by extension for American business, the way company employees do? Did Immelt leave Stahl speechless? Rather than providing an answer, 60 Minutes could only cut to its tick-tick-tick stopwatch.

I’m guessing that it’s because she doesn’t speak Chinese??

I don't root for GE because they are the biggest pig at the government trough and a textbook case of crony capitalism. In a saner time, we called such an incestuous relationship fascism.

I saw how truly disgusting Imelt is on this TV segment. He’s Obozos job czar, selling technology to China. What a sad joke.

Plenty of room to dislike Immelt, but Stahl’s report was an advocacy piece disguised as news.
The conflict of interest alone for her to be interviewing the CEO of a competing network’s parent company disqualifies every component of that report from being taken seriously.
I can’t imagine why Immelt would agree to the interview.

First problem is it’s the wrong network, right?
Lieslie is CBS
Jeffy is NBC via GE

Doing business with Iran while there’s an embargo on doesn’t impress me as an American thing to do, Jeff, you slug.

Not only is he moving technology to China, he’s even moving the headquarters of GE’s X-ray division to China. The execs are moving and costing the US more jobs.
Is GE still doing business with Iran?

That's one of those dogfights where you're not sure if you really care who wins or loses........maybe a draw via mutual mortal injury.
"But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: for men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away, for his name is Obama."
