I hear you, but I think that Cain is a better listener than Perry could ever be, simply because of that heartless comment. He simply cannot tolerate being told he’s wrong.
You are reading minds again Bob. You don’t know that Cain would be a better listener than Perry. Perry has a record and he has listened and changed what he was doing.
If I was into mind reading I might think that Cain would not listen at all. The big boss doesn’t have to listen.

That's what all Democrats believe, anyway.
Tom has been with the Tea Party movement since it's beginning. He has given many speeches celebrating that spirit, and he has attended quite a few Tea Party events as the only elected official many of those organizers were willing to include. Go back and search for "McClintock" and "tea Party" on Google. It's easy to do, and something you should have done before even bringing up the topic.
Love Tom McClintock and am lucky enough to live in his district.
But when Tom was running here the first time to take Doolittle’s seat, I didn’t know who he was. I was on the East Coast when he ran for governor. And the ads made him look like some carpetbagger. I was undecided about voting at all until I got a call from the Ron Paul campaign saying that Tom was a good guy and “a man of integrity”. Since RP doesn’t hand out that label very easily, I voted for Tom. Very glad that I did!
I have never had a Congressman who stays so in touch, with face to face Townhalls every few months and teletephone Townhalls every month. If you want his ear, you’ve got it. And the guy gives brilliant speeches and puts his vote where his mouth is.
Always thought that he’d have made a great president, but his interests don’t seem to point in that direction.
I asked why he did not mention the TEA party in this speech. This was a moderately long speech, and there was plenty of opportunity for him to indicate the importance of the independents like myself.
It is not rocket science to know that there is no love lost between the SKUNCs and the TEA party because their aims are different. Boehner hears it and snubs it regularly in between crying jags.
Because Tom must live with the SKUNCs for now, I do understand there might be some heat. That is my concern that there was heat. We need to know and not just suspect. Too much wiggle room. I’m on Tom’s campaign donor list. I’d like to stay there.
Because he was speaking to all Californians, not just the Tea Party or Republicans.
I was at the April 15th 2009 Tea Party in Sacramento and Tom was the only politician invited to speak there. Tom also has the endorsement of the Republican Liberty Caucus - -which is a libertarian leaning Republican organization.
The word "Tea Party" these days can mean a lot of things to different people. It isn't like it was a couple of years ago.

No, not this particular speech. He was speaking to visitors and warning them that what has happened here (and to the CAGOP) could easily happen in their states.
And I made it pretty damn clear what I mean by TEA party movement. One because I have replaced RINO with SKUNC, which makes the threat far more clear. I am talking about the MOVEMENT that wants a no uncertain backing off from the current Statist, Agenda21 thrust that the ruling class is pressing.
Also, any hint of condescension really pisses us off.

No, I’m sorry. It wasn’t coming from you. But it constantly comes from those in office or from those who work from them. I consider it pretty important that independents be reassured regularly. We’ve had the rug pulled out from under us too often. Indeed, much as Tom had done to him for much of the time since the national GOP inserted themselves into the CAGOP in 2002. There have been, and are, too few as good as him.
