I really wish the Japanese would sink their ship and machine gun the survivors in the water.

Personally, I don’t like the idea of hunting whales. But I don’t like Leftists and their fascism. I’m torn really.

Perhaps they should get on with it, then.

Kind of like the suicide squads in “Life of Brian”.

Look! The Japanese are killing whales for food. Oh no! We need to get organize, work 15 hour days and do some massive fundraising to save the earth. Mr. Soros, please send us money!

Guess we really don’t have time or funding to re-elect Obama or focus on destroying capitalism in the US. Just too busy saving those cute whales. Darn.

I like those Sea Shepherds. They do one thing, they do the thing they say they do, and they do it well.

Whale pops are tragically low... I’m no greenie weenie but after hundreds of years of unlimited whale harvesting and almost total species devastation, I like the fact there are some cowboys out there who actually give a damn about these awesome and awesomely intelligent, communicative, and mysterious creatures.

And yes, I’ve given ‘em money.

What does whale taste like? Can it be grilled like a steak?

PING!!! The Japanese are bringing in $27 million in security. Atleast this season won’t be as boring as Season 4.

What I find is the surprising incompetency of the Whale Wars crews. The ocean is a dangerous place for fools. One day someone is going to die from their stupity.

IMO, there is no need for hunting whales in this day and age. They are sentient mammals, not just “big fish” as some seem to think they are.

What the enviroextremists are doing is illegal and incredibly dangerous to all parties. If they wanted to stop whaling then the approach would be to use the donated millions to hire a Japanese psychologist and a Japanese marketing firm. In 20 years eating whale meet would be SO uncool that no Japanese would do it. No market, no whaling.

But this isn’t about the whales. It’s about forcing somebody else to convert and conform to the enviroextremist’s views. It’s about control and fighting a “just” war; and protesting. It’s about raising money and providing a source of smug moral superiority. The Sea Shepard’s captain, crew, enablers and apologists are conducting their form of warfare for the enjoyment of the agony (mostly imagined) that it costs others.

The Japanese should employ a faster more stoutly built ship to play bumpies with the Sea Shepard and herd the Sea Shepard away from Japanese ships.

Having said that, I believe whales are as intelligent as we are and I don’t think humans have any right to kill them. But these are not issues to be negotiated or fought over. If somebody really objects, use the millions collected to quietly change Japanese culture behind the scenes.

I think it is funny that they get all upset about Japan taking whales but are silent about Norway doing so.

Why do you think that is?

In fact to listen to the propaganda you would think Japan was the only nation that was still whaling. It is not.

BTW there are some applications for which only whale oil will do. For all you "There is no need..." people.
