“Still a Possibility:” Sarah Palin May Enter The Race
ABC News ^ | October 4, 2011 | Shushannah Walshe and John Berman

Posted on 10/04/2011 8:11:40 PM PDT by 2ndDivisionVet

According to a source with knowledge of the inner workings of SarahPAC, inside the Palin world it’s still a possibility that she might run. However, as the deadline approaches not even her staff knows what she will decide.

ABC News has separately learned that the Palin team is well aware of the filing deadlines and are keeping abreast of the changes in the deadline. Politico reported Tuesday that a law firm that employs an attorney representing SarahPAC had been making calls to early states inquiring about presidential filing deadlines. SarahPAC would not confirm the report to ABC News. When reached by ABC News, Mark Braden—the attorney mentioned in the Politico report—would also not comment or confirm the report or that he even works with Palin.

As the days creep toward those state filing deadlines, no new staff has been hired. Her core group of about seven staffers runs the organization while a volunteer group completely independent of SarahPAC called Organize4Palin or O4P tries to lay the groundwork in states, most notably Iowa. Those close to Palin acknowledge the decision is hers to make alone with her husband, Todd, and that she could decide the day before the first filing deadline that she wants to throw her hat in the ring....

“You’re right. I believe there is a name for such a person. “Adviser”.”

Candidates don’t get to use advisers during debates. If they can’t deal with the facts and data then they’ll be at a major disadvantage.

I agree, she isn’t running. A year ago Pawlenty wasn’t running. Two months ago Bachmann wasn’t running. I’m not running either. When she announces, THEN she will be running.

“I want to apologize. Sincerely. That post of mine was meant as a private post of private, personal opinion. Certainly not meant to purposely agitate FR Palin supporters who prefer substance over some shlubs opinion on personalities. I am on my text message keyboard and missed my mark. Very sorry.”

You’re not sorry for what you wrote. Just sorry you were caught...

Because Joe McInniss was an afterthought until Palin’s lawyers brought him back as an issue.

Will she sue the media as President, too? Isn’t that the Obama approach to being “reasonable”? If you don’t know what I’m talking about, check out the CBS News reporter being threatened by the White House for going after Fast and Furious.

You’re going to raise $2 million for Palin?

OK, I get it.

Exactly. I regret it was offensive to publish my opinion for some. That warranted an apology. It was not on purpose, but I hit the wrong reply option and it published.

Can't come up with an answer why you used those terms "Stooping to their level" can you little Deuce?

The only thing I can assume it was just another effort to sling mud at Sarah's character by comparing her to the trash that attacked her.

Very Alinsky of you and very telling also.

IMO, if she was really planning to run, she should have announced by late last month.

Why? So she could play demolition derby with the rest of the early entrants, who are all now bashed, smashed, and crashed? So she could participate in the MSM inquisitions, otherwise known as "debates"? So that she could satisfy the demands of the left and the RINO establishment that she "get in, or get out"?

She's still got nearly a month left before the first filing date. What's your reasoning for saying that she should have declared last month?

(The better approach would be to just ignore the media, IMO. People will say ‘what did that get Dubya’? )

Is that a sober opinion that you witnessed during the last four years of Dubya’s presidency? By him not fighting back and defending himself, the MSM ran all over him and was able to turn the electorate toward whomever was the DemocRAT candidate.
This old crap of “be nice to the MSM and they will be nice to you and treat you fairly” doesn’t work when one is playing against a stacked deck. The MSM is extremely thin skinned and when they respond to criticism, look like whiney, pathetic incompitents.

Hmmm. You raise an interesting point. The GOP establishment hates Palin. The media hates Palin. How is a President Palin going to push anything through an elite GOP Congress that despises her?

The answer is that we send a new "tea party" congress to Washington along with President Palin. IMO, if we fail to elect Palin and a tea party congress, we lose our best chance ever to clear out the stench in Washington.

[This isn’t strategy, or fire in the belly, but now a woman without joy and overcome by bitterness and anger. ]

Looking in the mirror again Rita? You and Carling are pretty much over the top H8ters. Both of you just spew one twisted remark after another. According to you too Palin is lower than a snake.

Why don’t you both tell us what Palin POLICY you disagree with. She’s been pretty damn rock solid down the line.

This isn’t about wagering with a Perrywinkle, it’s about getting a conservative elected president. How much I raise for her, should she run, will be between me, the FEC and her campaign staff. But just to give you an idea, I raised over $40,000 for Fred Thompson in the short amount of time he was in the race. I was also a top fundraiser for the Polk County GOP back in the 1980’s and have worked on presidential campaigns in Iowa.

"But she’s simply not a leader."

Let me guess: Because she's a woman, right? Because getting elected to the city council, mayor and governorship, as well as energy commission chair and fighting corruption isn't leadership?
