I put responsibility on the president because this is obviously a step in the wrong direction, Paul said. We have just totally disrespected the Constitution.
The comments once again put Paul at odds with his Republican rivals over foreign policy and the war on terror in the latest indication of how his foreign policy views stray far from Republican orthodoxy even in a GOP thats taken on an increasingly isolationist bent. Candidates like Michele Bachmann and Mitt Romney who included the president in a list of people he commended in a statement released Friday have generally been supportive of the killing. No one else in the field has spoken out against it.
But Pauls stuck with the civil libertarians whove criticized the targeted killing of an American citizen without public due process.
Paul, speaking at the University of New Hampshires Manchester campus as part of a brief swing through the state, also made another pitch for eliminating the federal income tax

Why should our military be given a higher standard than our cops?

Ron Paul 1488
The Final Solution for America
The two eights of the number 1488 stand for the eigth letter of the alphabet: H. And the two of them together form H H or Heil Hitler.
The fourteen part of the number 1488 stands for those fourteen words that every white supremacist knows: "We must secure the existence of our people and a future for White children. (hat tip Bill Levinson)
Well, what’s holding Paul back from filing articles of impeachment?
Sorry.
Ron Paul is a Jew hating, 911-truther loon.
I can’t trust anyone like that, no matter how right he is about other issues.
While a stopped clock is right twice a day, Ron is more like a clock running wild.
He gets to be right more often, but he still can’t be trusted to give you the right time of day.
Sounds like he’s starting to lose some of his support and needs to try to get them back.
Dennis Kucinich does the same thing.
I do not care that the terrorist weasel was turned into potted meat by a hellfire missile even if he was an “American”.
While technically I can see his point, terrorist boy may have been an American, he was far from being one when he took arms against up. As usual on foreign matters, Ron Paul is wrong.
But let Obamah assassinate a US citizen overseas and that's just fine with them.
Gee Ron, where were you on the day you and the rest of congress approved the results of the last Presidential election? Where was your objection?
I’ve often wondered the same.
Yeah that would go over about like a turd in a punch bowl.
I want a president who is glad that this SOB terrorist was wiped off the map but still has a problem with the constitutional and future implications.
Obama should never have been permitted to seize power in the United States, but he will never be impeached. The best use of our effort is to vote the druggie out by such a huge margin that even the numerous dead and fictional voters won’t be able to give him a win on paper.
Killing the cleric was completely Constitutional. He was an illegal enemy combatant on a battlefield. There is no Constitutional issue involved.
Exactly.
Look let the dems invoke the 25th, if they need to rid themselves of him and he refuses to resign...impeachment at this stage is way to late...Republicans will not touch this with a 10 foot pole and rightly so.
re-election looks bad, so let Ron Paul do something that would inflame sympathy for Obama. wonder-fool.
