Actually I am thinking more along the lines of he took out a US citizen, denied him his Rights to a trial for treason.

This guy was US born? He was a US citizen?
Gutsy move by 0bama is right.

This sets a president. Our government can now kill U.S. citizens at will. This is the bad side.

On the other hand, it's good this animal is dead. I think the American people can agree that he deserved to get the death penalty.

Thank you. I am thinking this is a bad precedent. Not disagreeing at all that this guy should have gotten the death penalty.

But...I’d be very wary of who and how the DHS classifies ‘terrorists’ and while this is a foreign precedent ...I don’t trust this administration.

THIS. I think we are heading down a dangerous path with the precedent that his assassination sets.

No pictures and no proof to the public for confirmation. Sound familiar?

True. So far, we've been TOLD Osoma and this guy are dead. We were also told Oboma was a Constitutional scholar, but there's no proof of any of it. Oboma isn't known for being the most trustworthy - especially when his poll numbers are at rock bottom. (He needs to create a new "image.")

I think we should see the body and DNA reports this time. Just to be safe. If it's him, that's good (except for the killing a U.S. citizen thing, which will come back to haunt us someday).

None of the reports seem to be hiding the fact he was an American.

Now if Yemen killed him...eh...OK. But that is not how I am understanding the reports. 0bama ordered or approved his execution.

He denied this bad dude the very thing they demand for the combatants at Gitmo.

Shouldn't you be expressing your grief with the handwringing hordes over at DailyPOS?

This is like saying that, if Joseph Goebbels had happened to have simply been born in the U.S., it would have been improper for the military to take him out during WWII.

We're at war, son.

When did we go to war with Yemen? If Yemen killed him...my mouth is shut.

If 0bama ordered the killing of a US Citizen ....bad dude or not...engaging in a country and dropping bombs we’re not supposed to be in?

I have a big problem with that.

I think it’s fabulous that we got the bastard (assuming this is confirmed).

Had this event occurred during the Bush/Cheney years there’d be a huge fuss from the left about killing a “US citizen” as an “assassination” without “due process” in the domestic civilian courts etc.

As it’s now Obamaworld probably only a few hardline lefties will mutter to each other on obscure websites.

I agree with you 110% — it’s war, the guy was at war with us, and it’s a matter of kill or be killed (kill him or let him help to kill more Americans and other innocent peoples).

Actually you have the right to say that...and I would defend your right.

I also tend to require all the legal requirements for US citizens to be murdered by the government.

As far as Goebbels is concerned if he was collateral damage fine. If we had been going after him in particular to murder him as a citizen...no. He would have been captured and brought before either a court or military tribunal.

It’s war, no holds barred. Kill the bastards before they kill more of us. How is that so hard to understand?

We are at war with Al Qaeda and all similar violent jihadist groups anywhere we can find them.

It’s not a question of “war with Yemen” — it is war initiated against us by a vast and amorphous set of jihadists. They don’t wear uniforms and announce themselves as traditional armies. They are our mortal enemies and it’s a fight to the death.

The fact that it doesn’t fit into traditional nation state models makes it trickier to conduct, with various judgment calls to be made about appropriate targets etc, but it does not alter the basic nature of WAR which is that we kill as many of these scumbags as possible before they kill more of us.

Doesn't anyone in America have a small problem with the fact that many US soldiers and Marines were prosecuted and/or court marshaled for shooting Iraqis in the middle of a war? Apparently if the POTUS kills people it is ok?

I love the fact that this was done. I hate the fact that America prosecutes the soldiers and lauds the dictator (Obama).

Why do we refer to these people by their terrorist names? It only feeds in to their madness.
