The Environmental Protection Agency has said new greenhouse gas regulations, as proposed, may be “absurd” in application and “impossible to administer” by its self-imposed 2016 deadline. But the agency is still asking for taxpayers to shoulder the burden of up to 230,000 new bureaucrats — at a cost of $21 billion — to attempt to implement the rules.
The EPA aims to regulate greenhouse gas emissions through the Clean Air Act, even though the law doesn’t give the EPA explicit power to do so. The agency’s authority to move forward is being challenged in court by petitioners who argue that such a decision should be left for Congress to make.
The proposed regulations would set greenhouse gas emission thresholds above which businesses must file for an EPA permit and complete extra paperwork in order to continue operating. If the EPA wins its court battle and fully rolls out the greenhouse gas regulations, the number of businesses forced into this regulatory regime would grow tremendously — from approximately 14,000 now to as many as 6.1 million.

It’s getting to the point where the EPA will be running the gov’t soon. 200K+ more gov’t slaves. Good Grief
Republican’s should propose CUTTING 460,000 EPA jobs and then claim the total cost avoidance as a budget cut!

What is sad is that I am not sure . . .
230,000 proposed positions (nobody gets hurt)
230,000 existing positions, occupied by job killers.
$42 Billion in immediate savings.
$400 Billion added to the economy by jobs not killed.
$40 Billion in associated new Federal Income tax revenue, from jobs not killed.
At some point, we have to reach a tipping point of people who realize (and accept) that destruction of the economy is the primary goal of these people.

Every regulation out of the EPA (and all fed gov’t agencies), if it has the force of law, meaning that violators could be penalized in loss of life, liberty, or property,
should be required to go through the only constitutional legislative body, the US Congress, passed by both houses, and signed by the president.
Congress should also require a personal liberty and economic impact study to accompany each request for new regulation.
Yes, this would choke off the regulators, and that’s the point.
Liberals would be dancing around, celebrating the 230,000 jobs created.
