September 21 at 6:30 PM, the Ground Zero Mosque will open its doors to show a photo exhibit in its community space. Park51 is hoping to discourage its opponents by declaring an early victory in spite of its recent embarrassments and setbacks. This grand opening does not mean that the fight is over. The project still has a long way to go until completion.

Because 10 days ago would have been two obvious.
Ten years plus 10 days.
Thanks (evil) democrats.
Oh yes I’m sure it was. It was probably just the imam’s birthday bash or maybe they were celebrating the forced circumcision of a 4 year old girl. Something innocent. ;d
Well we just heard about the case in California where a home study group was fined $300 with $500 more fines if they don’t stop and get the unobtainable permit.
Can NY be much different?
I believe that abomination is happening in California
Bain Capital, has cut checks totaling $90,000 to Romneys operation.
I will in no way defend that local statute in California which prohibits Bible or such study groups and you cannot compare what is local law in California to what may occur in NYC.
The bottom line is that the Constitution does not specify which people may or may not be able to exercise property rights.
And I don’t think any of us want to live in a country where local, state or government officials dictate who can and cannot build on their property.
As I understand it, San Juan Capistrano and NYC are two different jurisdictions and may not necessarily have identical municipal laws.
Do you have reason to believe that the mosque will violate NYC zoning laws of which the owners of the mosque will not be able to obtain a variance?
Clever...The muslim reps are at the UN...
just like the left and the resident left wing trolls who come on here.
They will not give up and will always try to give their views or get what they want.
They’re like little kids throwing a tantrum.
Lefties , muslims, resident left wing trolls same difference
Yep.
Wonder if this would be happening if we had a Christian in the WH?
What agency of the federal government would you like to decide who will and who will not have property and other constitutional rights?
I am against the mosque. I also think tying it to Romney because of such a tenuous link is stretching.
“Wonder if this would be happening if we had a Christian in the WH?”
Would you like the current and all future presidents to dictate what each of us can do with the property that we own?
I would organize several thousand visitors and each of them will leave a memento there, some casually tossed bacon bits, maybe some bacon, even some fried pork rinds.
There’s plenty that can be done, just alot of it isn’t legal
While wearing clothing made from BACON-!!!
