WASHINGTON - CBS News has obtained secretly recorded conversations that raise questions as to whether some evidence is being withheld in the murder of a Border Patrol agent.
(Scroll down to listen to the audio)
The tapes were recorded approximately mid-March 2011 by the primary gun dealer cooperating with ATF in its "Fast and Furious" operation: Andre Howard, owner of Lone Wolf Trading Company in Glendale, Arizona. He's talking with the lead case ATF case agent Hope MacAllister.
The tapes have been turned over to Congressional investigators and the Inspector General.
As CBS News first reported last February, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives allegedly allowed thousands of weapons to "walk" onto the streets without interdiction into the hands of suspected traffickers for Mexican drug cartels in its operation "Fast and Furious."
The conversations refer to a third weapon recovered at the murder scene of Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry.
Agent: I was ordered to let guns into Mexico
Court records have previously only mentioned two weapons: Romanian WASR "AK-47 type" assault rifles. Both were allegedly sold to suspects who were under ATF's watch as part of Fast and Furious.

Don’t worry. CBS isn’t going to put any of this on their nightly news and even if they did, their audience is so low and so left wing that they will believe any excuse Obastard wants to tell them.
Why did the IG turn the evidence over to a subject of his “independent investigation”? My bet is because IG’s who actually do their job get illegally fired by this administration. I’m sure Gerald Walpin would be happy to testify to that fact, if anybody gave him the opportunity.
Everything Obama and his minions have been doing is to DISABLE the mechanisms that normally enforce the rule of law.

“Think”? Had to get approval of the head of ATF (Melson, who spilled the story to Issa), who had to get clearance from Attorney General (Holder, who is stonewalling) for the, um, unorthodox nature of the “sting”, who had to get approval from his boss (oh, who was it, um, some zero, oh...) due to the possible severe international consequences.
This isn’t something the ATF has authority to do on their own. Approval HAD to come from the top.
I believe the answer to that is because there NEVER was a PLAN to actually track the guns.
The guns were allowed to walk for far different reasons.
Very. It’s not the GPS tracker, it’s the satellite transmitter which is outright untenable.
The process was working fine when ATF was fixated on apprehending the smugglers _before_ they reached the border.
And no, we’re not dropping 1000-pounders on another country just to squash some insects. ...which brings back the core point: being an international “sting” operation which could ONLY succeed via the perpetration of violent crimes in another country, this HAD to get approval from the top. If POTUS didn’t approve this, he’d be crushing one of the 2 or 3 possible people who did approve it, and probably the others just for good measure. Either Holder or Melson should/would be in a SuperMax right now if the O wasn’t involved.
Ya know, while F&F would require the O’s approval, at minimum Hillary would have to be briefed as a heads-up, if not giving her approval as well.
She has an interest in seeing this does NOT take down the O, lest she go with him.
But now, some Obama Mama’s are saying Fast and Furious really began under Bush! It’s all Bush’s fault! LOL.
I wonder if any of these tapes have a few seconds of blank spot.
How difficult and expensive would it have been for our government to imbed these technical spying devices inside wooden AK stocks, or inside an AR15 plastic buttstock? Not very...
That would be great practice for tracking citizens' privately owned firearms.
I'm not at all a fan of it.
CBS and sipsey street bloggers broke this story originally.
You're making the assumption that they actually intended to track the cartels that were using these weapons. The only tracking the DOJ wanted to do was after they found the guns at a crime scene and then trace them back to gun shops in the U.S. so they could then implement their attack on the 2nd Amendment. Whenever these drug dealers shoot up a scene, they always leave the guns behind--they are considered expendable because they don't want the ballistics tracked. Use them once and throw them away. The DOJ and ATF knew these guns would show up eventually...once a bunch of people were dead.
“He should be impeached and the MSM should be prosecuted for failure to properly inform the citizenry of the criminal behavior thats so obvious.”
How about conspiracy to commit fraud on the US
(Global Warming, Ineligibility to be president)
Accomplices to the cover up of murder.
(Border Guards)
The media is just as guilty of the crimes as the people
who committed them. They are accomplices to the attempted
communist take over of the US. The MSM are traitors.
This must be part of the initial "Draft Hillary" campaign. Notice that Bill has become a bit more visible lately.

Drudge? Hello? [crickets]<
I know .. why is he holding back on this??
Drudge has it up, wonder for how long. In the past the articles about ATF did not stay very long.
It is up at Drudge now, but the link stopped working.
It took me a while to find it on Drudge. That’s wrong. [one_cricket_chirp]
