Looks like most tea party Republicans have some common sense too and recognize that Perry is the most conservative electable Republican.

This one thing I thought you would find interesting. I just don’t want you to get your hopes up quite yet. We still have a LONG primary season that has not even begun yet. Not one vote has been cast. Relax. If Perry is supposed to be our candidate he will be.....however, I really really really hope that Palin will be the next President of the United States.

About the same time in the last election cycle here is where the GOP presidential contenders stood:

GIULIANI 34%

THOMPSON 23%

MCCAIN 16%

ROMNEY 9%

When Romney invokes the Magic Underpants this will change.

BOW DOWN before the underpants!

Link to actual poll results:

http://www.realclearpolitics.com/docs/2011/NYT_CBS_Republicans_0916.pdf

From the poll results statement:

“Sarah Palin receives her highest unfavorable rating (62%) in this poll since CBS News began asking about her in 2008. And for the first time, more Republicans now view her unfavorably than favorably.”

On page 4-5 of the poll:

View of Palin:

Among all registered voters: 20% fav, 62% unfav
Among Republican voters: 36% fave, 39% unfav
Among tea party: 44% fav, 32% unfav.

Being the piñata at the last debate doesn’t seemed to have damaged him too much.

He can expect more tag-teaming at future debates, as the front leader.

Perry has my vote so far, but things can change. Romney doesn’t talk about tort reform or have any meaningful history of attempting to tackle the subject.

Even the ultra liberal cBS and the NY Slimes gives Perry the lead. Not bad.

Ha ha.

Rick Perry is a Gore-derived Rove-controlled RINO
who is slightly more electable than Milt.

But the most electable, CONSERVATIVE is obviously
the talented, and beautiful, Gov. Palin.

Not really. Romney lost because he didn't say anything relevant in the Gardasil issue. Perry did. Bachmann did.

Here's Romney's problem ~ 12 year old girls and sexual matters, and although we all know LDS has nothing to do with FLDS, every Mormon believes the general public does not differentiate between the two varieties.

Therefore, so goes Mormon thinking, if Romney says anything that'll simply tie him to the FLDS problem. It logically follows that he retains position as long as he is quiet.

Unfortunately for Romney everybody knows FLDS has nothing to do with LDS, so by remaining silent it looks like he's some sort of doufous UNWILLING to get involved in popular and/or important disputes ~ and that just put him 7 pts behind Perry.

Again, for every candidate it is IMPORTANT ~ VITAL EVEN ~ to appear to be willing to leap to the defense of women and children ~ even if you sound irrational. Otherwise you will be viewed by EVERYONE as unfit for office.

[Of note, Sarah Palin’s net favorability rating is only +12 percent among Tea Party-supporting Republicans.]

I find that impossible to believe. Is there, perhaps, some sort of backlash because people think she’s not running? If so, that would change if she got in the race.

Perry, Romney, Bachmann, zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. I WANT TO SEE FIRE! Cane is fire! West is fire! Yeah, and Palin if she decides to run, is fire, the rest are just fizzle.

Most doctors all agree, that the current Politicians in power are the easiest to operate on. There’s no guts, no heart, no gonads, no brains, and no spine. Plus, the head and the butt are interchangeable. :o)
