Can you believe such a comic book could have existed from Archie Comics just a few years ago?
In Life With Archie #16, which looks at the world of a twenty-somthing Archie cast has recently created gay character Kevin Keller returning from war to get married to his partner in Riverdale. And everyone turns up to the ceremony
just as Archie is separating from his wife, Veronica.
Is this proof that gay marriage does destroy traditional marriage after all? Written by Paul Kupperburg, drawn by Fernando Ruiz, Pat Kennedy, Tim Kennedy, Al Milgrom, Bob Smith with a cover from Batmans Norm Breyfogle, Life With Archie #16 will be available for sale for the first week of January 2012.

The character in question is a veteran so the Don’t Ask Don’t Tell angle gets some traction in the story as well.

Archie has been a bit questionable for a while.

Thank you Lord for letting me grow up in the 60’s and 70’s before all this pc bulls**t took over.

In your dreams, pal. Sadly, the reality of lesbians in real life never matches up to the fantasy. Plaid work shirts, fat bodies and severe haircuts. Except for their legs.

Shoulda gone with Betty to begin with, Arch. I always liked her better.

Sorry to hear it. I guess I missed Archie’s marriage to Veronica, too.
It’s been a LONG time since I’ve seen one of these comics.

If they really wanted to be “cutting edge”, they should have Archie marry Muhammad.

I remember when they had Christian-themed Archie comic books where the Bible and conservative values were emphasized.

How is Reggie not in prison?
To: Cicero
The artist, the author and the publisher must all be Jughead.

When I was young I used to buy Archie comics. Now if my kid showed up with one in the house, that would be a catalyst for a deep talk on why Archie is unacceptable.
But I guess Archie isn’t for kids anymore... is that the message of the owners? Because the ones buying this comic will be gays and... well, gays and perhaps uniformed parents.
