Palin even went as far as to lend her voice to the charge leveled by Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.) during the debate against Texas Gov. Rick Perry (R): That he allowed a law to go though requiring HPV vaccinations for adolescent girls because of a $5,000 campaign donation and his relationship with his former chief of staff, who went on to lobby for a pharmaceutical company.
"I knew there was something to it," Palin said of learning while she was Alaska's governor that her Texas counterpart had given the go-ahead to the vaccine. "Now we're finding that now, yea, something was up with that issue. It was an illustration or bit of evidence of some crony capitalism."

Yeah, if only he had known...a lot of things.
bttt
I guess her point is to turn the GOP against each other and to slime candidates from her paid role as “analyst”. Since she is a paid member of the media, I guess I don't see why I can't question her motives when she smears GOP candidates.
Palin is what she is....a communication and journalism major.
She knows she can't have the nomination and she's missing 3 huge target audiences....blacks, the youth vote and hispanics.
Naw....Palin wants a lucrative media job not the job of President.
Wow so much thought. She does have the freedom but with that comes responsibility. Totally irresponsible to throw darts when she herself has taken donations. That is clearly hypocritical. She could have handled the conversation much better.
And do you think maybe Reagan saw the harm in that and he created the 11th Commandment. Please don’t disrespect the Reagan legacy, Palin is no Reagan, no matter what month it is.
Instead of taking aim, she should cowboy up and join in.
WHY? Because you have the patience of a two year old? Because the MSM declares she should? Whenever I read a sentence like this, I immediately think of lemmings. There's no reason why she should declare, it's just what all the fashionable lemmings are saying.
Ha! Tell you what, if Palin announces her candidacy one of these days, weeks, months, years I'll happily eat my words. I'm not worried in the least.
And like "death panels" before, the discussion is now about "crony capitalism." I guess she didn't have anything to do with coining those words either...
Coming up with a couple catch phrases is far different than running for president. One requires actual work & there's no evidence Palin is up for it.
No, we're just real busy in RL these days. If you want a true measure of her strength here on FR, just check my profile page, scroll down to the very bottom, and then stand in awe.
Maybe you can teach Sarah Palin how to modulate her voice and string together two gramatically correct sentences so we can better understand her message. LOL!
I have no ill will toward Palin except that I believe she is playing everyone about running for president and its getting old and irritating. I’m thinking there is going to be a lot of vitriol coming from disappointed Palinistas soon.
Every "repeated word" is like a little commercial...Buyer beware!!
Fox News pays Palin $1 million/year to draw ratings to their network.
She sold herself out to FoxNews, that fact can’t be denied, but she seems to be doing her job well. She’s a paid member of the media, and people need to remember that her job is to say controversial things that draw viewers to the network.
Oh God, here we go again. Who do you think you're talking to? A bunch of lefties who hate the idea of people making money? Using this argument repeatedly as you do, I have to wonder if you're a conservative.
Maybe she should take out after Michelle Obama for her eye rolling at the 9/11 ceremony.
The fear is strong in this thread...
Run, Sarah, RUN!!!
VR, it’s amazing how far so called ‘Conservatives’ are willing to go to defend the indefensible.
They ignore the fact that their candidate took one hell of an anti-conservative position RE: Guardasil, regardless of how it shook out, or more correctly the legislature corrected his thinking on the matter. Why did they even have to? Since when does an actual ‘conservative’ need correcting over parental authority matters?
And while the ‘crony capitalism’ phrase may be the latest attention getter, it is none the less true. Perry has, at minimum, the appearance of financial tomfoolery RE: his office and ‘pay to play’ allegations. They need vetting whether Perry supporters like it or not. So of course, these great ‘conservative minds’ come up with excuses justifying it in Perry because we ‘have to unite behind’ a crony capitalist because he can ‘beat Obama.’ Newsflash. The vaunted polls most of you believe in say that “generic Republican” can beat Obama so explain again why ‘Perry” is the way, truth and light.
You mad bro?
All the Perry supporters on this thread need to answer a very simple question.
“What’s more important to you...winning or abandoning the principles you ‘claim’ to believe in?”
I say ‘claim’ because I see scant evidence of actual conservative principles guiding your statements, just a blind desire for ‘winning’.
You Conservative Bro? Or no?
Perhaps Perry can suitably explain his lapses of judgment and perhaps he can be forgiven for them. Time will tell. But right now, some of you are defending one hell of a problem he has yet to explain. One among several. How is government EVER in the right usurping parental authority? What ‘conservative’ ever allows such stupidity into his mind? And some of you are attacking the messenger for pointing it out.
Just like the libs at DU.
Just like the MSM
Just like the Democrats.
And your fellow Freepers can see that.
Perhaps you should see your doctor because conservatism may not be right for you. If ‘Winning’ is all that matters to you, give Charlie Sheen a call. Some of us prefer integrity, honesty and something besides traditional Washington BS.
So what was Ronald Reagan’s excuse for waiting until November 13, 1079?
I'm pointing out a fact. Palin is a handsomely paid member of the media. Fox isn't paying her to be milquetoast, are they? Why do you take issue with me pointing out that Sarah Palin is a member of the media, and that her comments should be viewed in that context?
