These things ought to be like Survivor. After each debate, the weakest are vote off the stage. Some of the “no chance in Hell” class like Huntsman and Santorum would be gone after tonight soon to be followed by Bachmann, Cain and Paul.

Bachmann delivered a series of body blows to Perry. It was astounding.

The Texas governor has also called the social safety net a "monstrous lie."

The MSM seems uninterested in quoting Perry accurately on this. The only part of the quote you ever see is the words "monstrous lie".

How about the quote in context?

“It is a Ponzi scheme for these young people. The idea that they’re working and paying into Social Security today, that the current program is going to be there for them, is a lie,” Perry said. “It is a monstrous lie on this generation, and we can’t do that to them.”
The "monstrous lie" is telling young people that SS will be there for them when they retire.

Ron Paul is now the ONLY anti-war candidate in this race. That’s why he is going to win.

Did they seriously spend 10 minutes on Gardasil? I was one of the first people to criticize Perry for this when it happened. But what Bachmann said about this was so way over the top, it stinks to high heaven.

The Gardasil issue is a strike against Perry--but it's simply not worth 10 minutes of debate time.

Did any of them even discuss the pathetic "jobs (union paybacks)" Bill that Bammy wants "passed, right away"?

I watched most of the debate, but don't recall discussion about this pathetic piece of crap.

Perry and Romney are essentially the same but with outward regional differences.

I thought Perry had his ups and downs, but overall was prepared and did well.

I was thinking last night that his back surgery was only two months ago, and I wonder if he's still on any kind of pain meds. I was on a couple of different pain meds last year for a tonsillectomy and this year more recently for septum surgery, and they didn't affect me greatly but sometimes made me a little slower to speak. I noticed it when on the phone with customers; it didn't make me forgetful, but sometimes I would pause for a second or two between words.
