URBANDALE, Iowa (AP) — Sarah Palin is making a surprise appearance at a suburban Des Moines restaurant.

And she was greeted there Friday night with chants of "Run, Sarah, run!"

Hundreds of fans jammed into the Iowa Machine Shed, with the backroom of the farm-themed restaurant overflowing, as people from as far away as Texas, Florida and California strained for a glimpse of the former Alaska governor....

It doesn’t matter what 200 people who show up say or do. She cannot and will not win.

And, pray tell, to whom do you attribute poor logic? Hildy or doc1019? Or both, perhaps?

Gee, I don't know, what do you think?

Since Hildy posted the nonsense concerning celebrity and people not voting for her, I'd think it was real clear.

Just speculating here, but it seems to me the only reason that Perry got in at all, was because he really isn’t in all that close communication with Palin, and guessed that she was staying out of it after she hadn’t jumped in with the rest of the pack. He really didn’t know.

I think his advisors convinced him that if he jumped in ahead of her, that he could lock in the Tea Party vote, and discourage Sarah from running at all.

Again, that’s just me speculating, but her entry into the race will knock him out of the lead in less than a week. He just doesn’t have the strong, widespread, grass roots support that she does.

I really don't know why you post these things. If Sarah Palin enters and proves herself superior in debates, then people like me will move the earth to elect her to defeat Barry Soetero. The problem is, I see the same devotion to Palin that I saw with Obama, and people like you are trying to rip apart the GOP. It's a cult of personality at this point.

Carling, you seem like an intelligent person from your posts. I sincerely believe that.

It's when people whose posts show themselves intelligent then post garbage like that, that it becomes real easy to question their sincerity.

The reason Palin supporters are loyal and stick to her like glue, is her positions on the issues, her fighting spirit, and her leadership skills. All characteristics that are more or less lacking in some respect in the other candidates.

When you post nonsense like comparing Palin supporters to Obama supporters you lose all credibility.

That's not what you said. You said :She’s a celebrity now...we live in a celebrity world. That doesn’t mean those same people would vote for her.

I tell you they were shouting "Run, Sarah, Run" and NOW you say: It doesn’t matter what 200 people who show up say or do.

Right.

The thriftiest winning campaign in history...

Heh....she's been several moves ahead of the press, the Dems, the RINO establishment, and the PDS posse since Day One.

It's why they can't stay away from any conversation about her. It's just killing them that she's not playing by their rules and dying like she' 'sposed to .. LOL

Consider the fact that I don’t know you and knowing the various opinions of those on FR, my question still stands. If you were me and received a response such as yours, would you not have a question or two?

While I agree with your conjectures, I'd take it a little further, given the moderate to liberal big-money backers of Perry, I'd hazard a guess that Perry is the GOP Elites fall-back guy to Romney. Add in the following Perry characteristics and Perry is a guy to avoid:

1. He was recruited by Rove
2. He has shown himself to be an avid Open-Borders Surrender Monkey.
3. He has shown himself to be a globalist
4. He has the same penchant for Big-Government solutions to non-issues that George Bush and McCain are wont to do.

"She’s a celebrity now...we live in a celebrity world. That doesn’t mean those same people would vote for her. "

Hmmmm...Seems I've heard that lame song many times before...

Let's see...Oh yeah! Here's a classic example (circa June 1980) of all this current bullcrap we hear about Palin and, to a lesser extent, Perry:

Someone else ridiculed, feared, loathed, and reviled by the marxist media, the marxist demoncrats, and the limp-wristed RINOs.

Yep! Same old song...

We’ve been through a lot. If you think she’s such a shoe in..why do you get so pissed off when I say she can’t win. Why would you care? Because you know I’m right. And I’m not just telling you because I wouldn’t vote for her. I am active in Republican politics in one of the most conservative counties in the Country. I ask everyone who they would support. I don’t tell them my opinions..I am an officer of the Republican party and we don’t endorse people here in the County. So I don’t sway people’s view.

95% of the people say they would never vote for Palin. That’s not to say they don’t like her..everyone likes her..but they see the same thing I do.

I might initially, but after careful review I'd either realize who I was posting too or do the same thing you did, question the poster.

Guys, guys, guys, GUYS! She’s not running! Get it through your thick skull that the polls show she isn’t a contender. We need to pessimistic about all of this. Now get it together and vote for a RINO like Perry or Romney to keep the Leftist train of destruction on track!
LOL!

Yeah, rick? And what might that be?

I hope so. Sarah Palin deserves a good, fun weekend here on our conservative Tea Party forum! Her monster speech will rock Indianola, Iowa!

Way earlier tonight, there were already 70 credential media from 32 news outlets on hand at the site of her speech!
