We’ve been through a lot. If you think she’s such a shoe in..why do you get so pissed off when I say she can’t win. Why would you care? Because you know I’m right. And I’m not just telling you because I wouldn’t vote for her. I am active in Republican politics in one of the most conservative counties in the Country. I ask everyone who they would support. I don’t tell them my opinions..I am an officer of the Republican party and we don’t endorse people here in the County. So I don’t sway people’s view.
95% of the people say they would never vote for Palin. That’s not to say they don’t like her..everyone likes her..but they see the same thing I do.
Then you need a new set of friends. Seriously.
They're lame and they're certainly not conservatives. They may as well be democrats.
How will Mitt or Perry win without the Palin voters? Of course,,,WE are expected to get behind them. i really think you need to get behind MY candidate. After all,, how can your man possibly win without the vote of people like me?
(or,,,is it only my side that is expected to compromise?)
Because it discourages others. It has been a MSM meme for a LONG time. And I'm tired of hearing it, from the left, the press AND "FReepers".
The race hasn't even begun and you're making funeral arrangements.
You want to know what I think? I think Palin is the ONLY one with enough cahones to talk truth about Obama. I think she'll make him freakin NUTZ! AND win!
Most people I talk to express the same opinion, that Palin isn't the one, she can't win, she's damaged goods, whatever. It's all base on false information. By the time I get through with them, most have changed their minds. If I can do it, Sarah Palin on the stump will do it even better. The truth, powered with passion, makes selling folks on Sarah Palin quite easy. It's fun to see their attitudes change.
well someone is lying their ass off, because 59,000,000 already voted for her at least once. Buzz off party pooper.
95% of the people say they would never vote for Palin. .
Well, I currently live in Congressional District 3; and I've been licking envelopes, canvasing voters, working GOTV in TX, CA, and AZ on behalf of state, local, national Republican candidates for nearly thirty years ... Outside of Reagan, I've never seen anything like the energy, passion and enthusiasm this woman generates. (All of that matters bigtime in primaries.) Many of the folks I talk to would vote for her in a heartbeat; others say they would only if she were the nominee, and a bunch like her but think she can't win. Don't know who you're talkin' to in the party, but Republicans saying they'd "never vote for Palin" sure as heck isn't representative of 95% of the Arizona Republicans I meet.
... they see the same thing I do.
You see conventional wisdom and mistake it for future certainty. I made the same mistake back in my first presidential campaign in '79. I lived in Texas at the time and went with Connolly, then Bush--all because I was repeatedly told by local Republican party leaders that Reagan was too extreme and unelectable. Palin's got to jump the same hurdles, no doubt. But only a fool would dismiss her out of hand. She's got crazy name ID, she's right on all the major issues, and she's a great retail campaigner. And for goodness' sake, she's running third place in polls and she hasn't even announced. If that doesn't add up to a legit shot at winning the nomination, then I don't know what does.
“An officer of the republican party”... We scared the crap out of you at the last county convention and we’re going to whip you at the next one. I’ve been to your ‘club’ meetings and I don’t like you. You are the reason for McCain. While you were at your meetings with your your slick lawyers and clueless old ladies, I was a poll watcher in the hood in Mempis. Go form your own third party. You think it’s the money? It’s the votes. You have no idea what’s coming. Go cry to Rove or somebody.
[95% of the people say they would never vote for Palin.]
You mean only 5% of voteres would even consider her if she was good in the debates and won the nomination? That is hogwash.
“I am an officer of the Republican party and we dont endorse people here in the County. So I dont sway peoples view.
Ha, if you don’t, I will bet it is not for lack of trying.
LOL. I find that hard to believe.
