Steve Forbes: I'm Leaning Toward Perry Endorsement

Forbes magazine editor Steve Forbes says he "very impressed" with Texas Gov. Rick Perry and is leaning toward endorsing him for the 2012 Republican presidential nomination.

"Rick Perry, the governor of Texas, is now the front-runner. He's had a good record even though liberals are now trying to trash it, along with perhaps some of his GOP opponents," Forbes, a two-time presidential candidate, tells Newsmax.

"He did some very good things in reforming their personal injury liability system, very very positive reforms. He encouraged energy production instead of states like California that discourage it, and refused to put in a state income tax. So in the great scheme of things that’s a pretty solid record to run on. So he is the front-runner."

I don’t see anyone here calling him a drag queen.
He’s not, is he?

He sure is. Not only that, he supports mandatory vaccinations along the Trans-Texas Corridor of your illegal alien children that will turn THEM into drag queens and Al Gore supporters! I read it on the internet, so it must be true.

Bachmann may have her heart in the right place, but she has no chance of winning either the GOP nomination or the general election. The race is between Perry and Romney and any votes for Bachmann just helps Romney.

Nah, the only lesson I need is Freepers jumping quickly on another potential RINO.

Reminds me of most Freepers who drooled like schoolgirls on Scott Brown. Perry...Scott Brown of Texas LOL

“Put the lawbreakers in jail. Leave innocent children out of this.”

Deport the lawbreakers, along with their families. Put the business owners that hired them without checking their status in jail. Hire law abiding citizens in their stead. Allow their offspring to pay in-state tuition.

That’s a plan I can get behind.

Peewee Herman could win against Zero.. Its the primary’s that count.. Romney is the liberal MSM choice.. Perry is the conservative MSM choice..

Bachmann is the ONLY game in town.. for a conservative..

“Umm.. my argument has nothing to do with the children. What the hell are you talking about?”

Geez, don’t know how I could have concluded that it did, given your earlier post:

“So you support punishing people whose parents committ crimes?”

Who could have imagined you were talking about children? All of the folks on this thread who made the same grievous error as did I should be scolded, no doubt.

I’ll rephrase my question.

“So you support punishing people whose relatives committ crimes?”

Make you feel better?

“So you support punishing people whose relatives committ crimes?”

Yes. If they too are in the country illegally and if deportation comprises “punishment.” As a practical matter, yours is still a DREAM act argument—don’t punish kids. Changing “kids” to “relatives” doesn’t change the substance of the argument.
