Was Obama an Indonesian citizen? Evidence raises concerns over presidential qualification.
Klein Online ^ | 8 29 2011 | Aaron Klein

Evidence continues to mount that President Obama was adopted by his Indonesian stepfather, Lolo Soetoro, raising concerns over his presidential eligibility.

Obama’s American mother, Ann Dunham, separated from her first husband, Barack Obama Sr., in 1963 when the president was 2 years old. Dunham and Obama Sr. are reported to have later divorced.

In Hawaii, Dunham married Lolo Soetoro, an Indonesian, in 1965 and moved to Indonesia in October 1967.

Divorce documents filed in Hawaii on Aug. 20, 1980, refer to Obama as the “child” of both Soetoro and Dunham, indicating a possible adoption in the U.S.

The divorce records state: “The parties have 1 child(ren) below age 18 and 1 child(ren) above 18 but still dependent on the parties for education.”

I didn’t vote for him in 2008. Why would I vote for him now? I have voted straight Rep for the past 44 years. Obama is destroying the country. Are you nuts?

Again, not sure what I would have done as a Founder, and if I was one, I hope I’d know more law than I do now (not a lawyer).

On reflection and reading, I think I’d go for not judging people based on their parentage. My take would be “born on the soil” and I’d have to trust to Americans to do the right thing, eventually if not immediately. I’m proud to put myself in company with James Madison in this matter, and to allow patriotic Americans like Bobby Jindal and Marco Rubio to run for president.

I’m completely sane. But it seems you could be having a mid-life crisis—that happens around the age of 50 or so— Clearly you are an ardent defender of the “present reality” — so it seems a legitimate question to ask if you intend to maintain your defense of this reality by casting your vote in that direction in ‘12. Given your passionate arguments on this thread I find it odd that you would take offense to my question.

So for you, being inclusive and not discriminating against the rights of foreigners and non-citizen enemies of the USA trump all other considerations?

Really? As a Founder it would have been more important to you to insure that foreigners who hate the Republic have a permanent right to sire US presidents than to discriminate against non-citizens on this one issue alone?.

Really??

Your logic leaves a lot to be desired. Have you read all of my posts pn this thread? I make it quite clear where I stand on Obama. Yes, he is in the WH. I want him out in 2013. The best way to do that is through the electoral process.

This is a great example of a loaded complex question type fallacy. You phrase the question to try to get me to agree to something that you can then attack, assuming as agreed context something I don't agree to. I am not a lawyer, and might have changed several things had I been dictator for a day. I will simply say that pressed to make a choice, I will trust that James Madison and others had the right idea.

You are maligning me. I phrased the question to get a simple answer. You danced around it like Fred Astaire on an overheated griddle. If you are willing, in this one single instance, to exclude foreigners—including those who hate the US and seek to destroy it—it’s not too late to say so. If inclusiveness trumps all else—as appears to be the case—then you weren’t trapped by a trick question. You simply copped to caring more about not discriminating against foreign enemies—even when it comes to the WH—than about preserving the Republic.

I can understand why linear logic would trouble you. On the one hand you state boldly that Obama is destroying this country while on the other hand, fight tooth and nail against people who are seeking honest answers to honest questions. If you are so firmly convinced Obama is so wrong for America, why aren’t you putting your passions toward something productive, rather than spinning your wheels on eligibility threads? See why I’m having trouble accepting your “true blue” (Might that be a pun?) conservative claims? True conservatives would NOT knock themselves out to “turn” someone, they would be happy instead to state differing opinions, and then move on. You, however are indeed “knocking yourself out” to wear down those who ask eligibility questions, as if you had some right, or moral obligation to do so...interestingly similar to those who hold the progressive mindset. But that can’t possibly be you, for as you have said, you have voted for a republican for 44 years. You are dyed in the wool red! (Could that be a play on words?) Hum...I suppose I should just take your word for it— just like you take Obama’s word for his eligibility. After all, when a person says it’s so, well then it is so...right? Yes. Of course. Never mind those silly things like *absolutes* ...absolute truth, absolute justice...those antiquated ideas that no longer are needed in our modern evolved society. You agree, don’t you? Well, of course you do— because you are sure we should just forget about this stupid eligibility thing.

The only records that Obama has put “under lock and key” are his Senate records. Those should be public but are not.

The rest of the documentation that tends to get carped about is protected by the same privacy laws that protect personal information, yours and mine included.

When (not if) the media does another anal probe of Palin’s life, I hope some folks can recall their enthusiasm for fishing expeditions when Obama was the target.

Yes, we are going around in circle. I do not expect that we will ever find much agreement on this issue. But I do think it is important for use to try and clarify where we stand. I believe that this exercise is beneficial for both our own points of view and for the lurkers who haunt the threads.

So you’re not concerned that much of Obama’s past is a mystery. His so-called autobiography is bad fiction. Any records that might have shed critical light on this man and his myriad lies are sealed. It’s great how that works. If the record could hurt or contradict Obama, it’s off limits. And so many on these threads just revel in that. They can’t hide their glee. It’s sweet when a lying liar like Obama gets to put his entire past off limits to the very people who employ him. Well you just go on gloating over his successful hoodwinking of the masses. If that’s what gets you your jollies, welcome to it.

Otherwise, you can join with the so-called birthers in asking to see these off-limit records. You did say you wanted to see his Occidental application. It’s a start.

No, not maligning you - the question was very clearly loaded by any interpretation. Rather like asking someone “so you support the right of any one who might want to be a serial killer to have a gun? That a child of our worst enemy should be able to have a weapon to shoot good Americans with?”

And what I admit to is trusting the Founders. They are the ones who welcomed back those whose parents chose England over America, the ones who appointed the Supreme Court Justices and the Judges who made the rulings. The ones who said “we’ll follow the law, even when we don’t really like it.”

But the bottom line is that it doesn’t matter what I would do or what you would do. What matters is what the law has been held to be by the Supreme Court.

Well you just revealed the problem. Restricting or not restricting guns to people who have not yet committed a crime has no analogy whatsoever to limiting POTUS to the sons and daughters of non-foreigners/non-foreign enemies. Anybody who thinks that is a good analogy is mired in dysfunctional thinking...or worse.

You still don’t get it. You haven’t bothered to try to refute the iron-clad facts; you just continue to claim that iron-clad facts will always be honored by the politicians, as if they are infallible. They aren’t.

Until you understand that, you can’t even fathom why we have the checks and balances, separation of powers, and Constitution - or what a travesty it is that people who are supposed to be holding the system accountable are instead disrobing and lying down on the hood of the car so the system can screw them while the non-vigilant screw-ee moans and giggles about how silly it is for anybody to believe in a world where rape by the system is dead-wrong and must be stopped.

I’m not giggling and moaning. I am not one bit amused by their illegal rape trees regardless of who all they’ve been able to degrade already, and I don’t give a rip whether it’s Obama’s lawyer or Bill O’Reilly who’s telling me to shut up and lay down like a good victim. They have ALL screwed us and screwed the rule of law, and they will ALL answer to God for the lies and crimes. I’d like to have them answer to us first, though, if possible - for their own sake as well as ours.

It may not happen. God may get to them before we are able to bring them to justice (and possible repentance) here. Like He did with Adolf Hitler. Yes, the reality of those flesh-burning ovens was a bitch. And a lot of people shrugged their shoulders and said it was a pity. Those shrugged shoulders is what allowed heinous crimes to be committed in full smell and view of everybody.

Calling evil “reality” doesn’t excuse us from FIGHTING that evil. You will never even be able to grasp the level of evil I have witnessed in all this; you’re not going to be able to school me on the “reality is a bitch” lesson; I have grasped that quite well. The difference between you and me is that I will never say that might makes right. I will never say that since Himmler, Goering, and Goebbels all went along with the deed it must be right and only crazy people living in an alternate universe would fight it.

From Day One I have been saying this is about the rule of law, and that we would see increasing lawlessness if we let the whole system get away with the crimes committed on this issue. Now that we’ve seen Holder refuse to prosecute “his people”, lawsuits to make sure that states can’t protect their own people from foreign invasion, DOJ totally ignoring Congressional subpoenas, Mexican drug cartels being armed by our own ATF, flash mobs, etc..... some people are beginning to grasp that we really ARE talking about lawless thugs in positions of power and this nation could fall from within because nobody can hold the government accountable to the rule of law. This is not the “tee-hee” issue that short-sighted wannabe “conservative” Homecoming kings/queens have tried to make it. The rule of law is a life and death issue for this nation. If we don’t get it, this nation will die. Literally.

The ironclad facts were there for the German people, and they still failed the test of heart and will. Today the ironclad facts are there for America also, and we are very, very badly failing the test of heart and will. If we return to our vomit in 2012 America is suicidal beyond redemption.

It’s been enlightening to go back and forth with some of these ‘folks’ today. Very revealing of what goes on in their minds. I’ll give you a perfect, perfect analogy of the bottom line. You have these individuals, and I honestly don’t know how to characterize them. Maybe the closest I can come is soft of mind or bleeding of heart. Anyway, in the analogy, you might say, ‘Is it wise to leave a young child alone with a pitbull?’

The party responds, ‘To say otherwise is unfair to all the sweet, trustworthy pits in the world’.

The kicker being, in the very next room, at the same time this conversation is going on, there is a pitbull ripping the face off a little child and slamming what’s left of the infant against a brick wall.

This is exactly what’s happening in the USA. The son of a foreign enemy of America weaseled his way into the Oval Office and is destroying the country at a furious clip. He detests everything about traditional America—especially the parts he cannot, being of foreign upbringing himself, comprehend—and has been wildly successful in tearing the place apart at the seams in record time.

Yet suggest to these people that it’s a good idea to restrict this one office—POTUS—to the sons and daughters of American citizens, and they can’t handle it. They cannot make the connection between Obama’s catastrophic wrecking ball and the wisdom of excluding half-foreigners from the highest office in the land.

Amazing. Scary, yet amazing.

If you can’t see a loaded question when it hits you in the face, the dysfunction is on your side. The bottom line, again, is that it doesn’t matter how either of us would write the Constitution (although I think the Founders did a pretty damn good job on the whole) it matters what the courts have held it to be.

I don’t blame the Founders for Obama. A country increasingly less concerned about the rule of law on every level resulted in the son of a foreign enemy lying his way into the WH. He’s doing exactly what could have been—and was—predicted. He is fundamentally changing the country for the worse. This is what enemies of the US dream of doing, and finally one got the chance. How do you like the new, Obama-style USA?

Or is forcing homosexuality [to take but one example] down the throats of our US men and women in uniform your idea, too, of a new and improved USA?

So you think the Founders and the judges they appointed "can't handle it"? You think they were "soft of mind" and "bleeding heart"? Maybe you should read the home page - FR supports the American Constitution. Sad to read what you think of our nation's founders and the Constitution they wrote.
