This is a great example of a loaded complex question type fallacy. You phrase the question to try to get me to agree to something that you can then attack, assuming as agreed context something I don't agree to. I am not a lawyer, and might have changed several things had I been dictator for a day. I will simply say that pressed to make a choice, I will trust that James Madison and others had the right idea.

You are maligning me. I phrased the question to get a simple answer. You danced around it like Fred Astaire on an overheated griddle. If you are willing, in this one single instance, to exclude foreigners—including those who hate the US and seek to destroy it—it’s not too late to say so. If inclusiveness trumps all else—as appears to be the case—then you weren’t trapped by a trick question. You simply copped to caring more about not discriminating against foreign enemies—even when it comes to the WH—than about preserving the Republic.
