Washington, DC --(Ammoland.com)- My Friends: The mainstream media is doing its best to belittle a dangerous trend in America today: the “flash mob” of “youths”.
The term “flash mob” originally referred to groups of peaceful citizenry who gathered for what are best called “social experiments” – jovial sing-alongs and dance-alongs and other forms of harmless improvisational theater.
I was personally caught up by several such “flash mobs” in New York City – and smiled at the entertaining street theater.

Times have changed rapidly, and ominously so.
In Wisconsin – home to JPFO’s office – “Witnesses’ accounts claim everything from dozens to hundreds of young black people beating white people as they left State Fair Thursday night.” (WTMJ News).
In Philadelphia, the “mayor talks tough to black teenagers after ‘flash mobs’ … attack people at random on the streets of the city’s tourist and fashionable shopping districts.” (Washington Times). The mayor has now imposed a curfew on the City.
“In Chicago on Memorial Day weekend, roving teens flashed gang signs, knocked cyclists off their bikes and harassed picnickers.” (Washington Times)
We’ve seen similar events in Peoria, IL; Atlanta, GA; Las Vegas, NV; and – close to home for me personally – South Orange, NJ. (Flash Mobs).
And while you won’t see it in the MSM, you can find plenty of blogs that highlight the racial undertones – and overtones – of these flash mobs. Here’s an account of a Peoria eye-witness who says the mob chanted “kill all the white people.” (See Blog).
As most decent people are watching the stock market gyrations and following our federal government’s mismanagement of both monetary and fiscal policy, our nation is entering an unpredictable phase. I’m sorry to say that, based on history, things are going to get worse. Just look at London, England, where four nights of rioting hooligans have resulted in the deployment of an extra 16,000 police officers in an attempt to stop the looting, vandalism, destruction, assaults, and robbery.
My response to “flash mobs”?
GET A GUN.
Get a gun, and learn how to shoot it accurately, under pressure. If you find yourself in a “flash mob,” the police will NOT show up in time to do you a bit of good. These mobs gather in minutes and disburse just as quickly when the first police car arrives. Or worse, they attack the first police officers until backup arrives.
What kind of gun should you get? Start with a quality semi-automatic pistol. A standard magazine of 12 or 15 rounds will come with it, and you can purchase and carry one or two backup magazines on your person or in your car. If your state laws allow it, a loaded shotgun in your car wouldn’t be a bad idea either.
Interestingly enough the State of Illinois (Peoria “flash mob”) will not issue concealed weapon permits.
Wisconsin (Milwaukee “flash mob”) has a newly instated concealed carry system, but it hasn’t been in place long enough for many Wisconsinites to get their carry permits.
And in London, all guns are outlawed.
Thank G-d, in America, we still have the Second Amendment.
I’m an Orthodox Jew. It is our people’s custom to dress in a somewhat distinctive manner. Orthodox Jews stand out. I want to ask a very somber question: How do you think one of these mobs of “youths” out looking for victims will react to a car full of Orthodox Jews?
Evil force can only be met by righteous opposing force – effective, superior, righteous opposing force.
One righteous person in Milwaukee, licensed to carry concealed, stepping out of his or her car and shooting one of the “youths” as they were beating the teen victim would have stopped that “flash mob” instantly. This would also have been a legal shooting, as it was done to save an innocent life.
Similarly, I wonder how out of control a “flash mob” of racist “youths” might evolve in gun toting Phoenix, Arizona?
But most Jews in America have chosen to disarm themselves. In these times of growing economic and social unrest, nothing could be more foolish.
To all my Jewish brothers and sisters I say again: GET A GUN. Learn to use it safely and responsibly. And prepare to defend yourself and those you love.
To all my righteous non-Jewish friends I send the same message. This growing evil must be met directly, and with ice cold determination. The police WILL NOT be there on time.

Me too. But they pick their victims. It is usually a self hating White Liberal or at places frequented by those under the influence of the self hating White Liberals, to wit: do not believe in defending themselves, strict gun laws, ect.
I’ve been following these “flash mob” stories for awhile, and certainly it does pay to be armed.
However, what happens when you go up against a “flash mob”, let’s say, composed of 100 or so individuals, all of whom are armed as equally as you?
All it’s going to take is one of the “flash mobbers” to get shot, and they’ll arm up as well. I’m surprised they haven’t already, to be honest.
It’s easy to say fire off a shot and they’ll run.....but what if they don’t? They may not be the shots in the world, but all it takes is one bullet from a lucky shot, and down you go.
I’m NOT saying you shouldn’t defend yourself in a life-threatening situation; of course you should. I’m asking a hypothetical question. What happens when the “flash mobs” are as equally well-armed and carrying as law-abiding citizens?
Your observation that the flash mobs have not "armed up" is cogent and instructive. There are several reasons for this. Most of the people in the flash mobs are legally disbared from possesing firearms. If they possess them illegally, they cost resources to obtain. One of the prime motivators of flash mobs is the near certainty of immunity from prosecution. If there are 30 young black people involved in an attack, it is fairly easy for anyone of them to claim that they were not involved, so it is a good defense in court, and it is hard for police to catch these people in the act, which tends to occur quickly.
If they start carrying weapons illegally, they give up much of their advantages. They are subject to prosecution before, during, and after the attack. If they are chased by police, they have to figure a way to get rid of the weapon before they get caught. They don't want to use a holster because it is harder to get rid of. If they figured they were going to get into a gun fight, it is more likely they would be deterred from the attack rather than carry a weapon to it.
In short, I think it unlikely that the flash mob phenomena will start "arming up". If they do, the populace will "arm up" all the faster. While a CCW holder may go down in such a situation, he/she is likely to take more than one flash mob types with them. Statistically, the flash mobs will be on the losing end of this sort of attrition.
This is why civilization works. The majority of citizens know that life is more comfortable and safer under the rule of law. They vastly outnumber the outlaws, who are attrited out of existance by the majority, which uses the mechanism of the government to its advantage.
The places that you have serious problems are where the government has protected the outlaws, or has become outlaw itself. In most of the U.S., we are not at that point.
The thing is, after a few flash mobbers are killed, flash mobs wil stop happening. Ao they arm themselves? So what?
They are in it for fun, for excitement, for profit, for revenge. They’re NOT in it to die. So if the likelihood of that occuring show up, they will try something else.

The only places I can see this being a truly serious problem is in locales where CCW is essentially forbidden, either prima facie or through official intransigence. I think of LA, Chicago, NYC, places like that.
And, I’m hoping that these little events of do-it-yourself wealth redistribution don’t spread over to Germany. My neighborhood of Berlin is pretty heavy with Turks, Kurds, and Arabs; most of them are small-business owners (tons of little mom-and-pop shops here), and if their counterparts in London during the recent riots are any indication of the future, I don’t think they’ll be taking any guff from amateur looters.
There are several ways that you can train yourself to use a firearm under pressure.
1. Hunt. Hunting teaches you to use a firearm under pressure. It does not have to be dangerous game. You will be dealing in a life and death situation (normally not yours, but that of your prey), in which you have to act quickly and decisively. Jim Cirillo, the legendary New York officer who was involved in numerous gunfights as part of the New York City Stakeout Squad, said that being a hunter of big game was something he would look for in officers to recruit for such duty.
2. Play the "What if" game. Think about how you might react under various circumstances, how you would use cover, how you would retreat, what the legal requirements are for the justified use of deadly force. If you have thought about it, in a variety of circumstances, it is likely that you will be able to fit one of those to your circumstance if it occurs to you. Reading about what others have done, and how they handled it, with a critical eye as to what you might have done differently, is a good way to start putting your mind into the proper framework.
3. Train from different positions and target presentations. I and my brother used to set up "ravine runs", hidden targets along a trail that we had to react to quickly and effectively. Train on multiple targets at close range. Train on moving targets: a simple clothesline system with silhouette target mounted on it, and a cord to pull from behind the shooter is inexpensive and effective.
4. Engage in competition. Unless you have property available to you, you may have difficulty performing #3. Various clubs that are involved in "combat" style competition allow people to pool resources to get the type of practice recommended in #3. Competition of any kind is effective in teaching you how to shoot under pressure. Even National Match bulls-eye competition is effective for this purpose.

Know the law in your particular state. If your state has a "Stand your Ground" law then you are in a better position if you need to use deadly force.
Note the phrase "NEED to use deadly force". In most jurisdictions, you may use deadly force to protect yourself from death or serious bodily injury, and against rape.
Somebody spitting in your face does not merit shooting them in any jurisdiction. Somebody grabbing your camera and running off with it does not merit shooting them in most jurisdictions. Somebody coming at you with a knife or other deadly weapon, with evident intent to stab you, DOES justify shooting them in most jurisdictions. A large mob, even unarmed, can stomp you to death very easily, and may justify deadly force, especially when there are already other victims on the ground to provide an indication that you are justified to feel that you are in deadly danger.
Bottom line: when the fertilizer looks like it's starting to hit the fan, exit the area. Keep in mind that in big cities, the jury pool will contain a high percentage of people who look like the guy you just shot. Do what you need to do to protect your family and yourself.
Lastly, DO NOT make statements to police other than "I was in fear for my life. I wish to have my attorney present before saying anything further."

That’s fine for you (perhaps), but how does that help your wife, daughter, girlfriend or Grandmother if they are at the local Mall and a mob of 200 vicious reprobates suddenly forms and starts beating on everyone they can find?
And the BIG day for these flash mobs is Sept 27th - where they plan on descending upon DC and other big cities.
Whitey is the target - "whitey" should start planning for a trip outta town by the 26th. This is going to get very bad before it gets better.
These people have been primed for this. And come election - IF O'bumbles hasn't used these as his excuse to declare Martial Law and close down the election - (Part of the whole plan from the get go?) there will be rampant intimidation at voting places, thanks to Holder's refusal to prosecute 'his people' = aka the Black Panthers.
Batten down the hatches. It's going to be a rough ride.
The Left came up with the “flash mob” game so they could direct violence in a new kind of “get the rich” riot strategy rather than the old fashioned kind - burn down black neighborhoods riot.
The Left always orchestrates race riots when they have power and their power is threatened. When America elected a Black Marxist as president, class jealously, race riots and violent attacks on whites was guarenteed.
The strategy we see the leaders behind the riots in London are planning that for us. It won’t go as smoothely here.
A large percentage of flash mob members are either juveniles or have felony records, or both. This disqualifies them from CCW eligibility. A felon in possession of a gun is an automatic trip back to prison. This is why they like flash mobs -- they have overwhelming force, but no weapons that can land them in prison.
They also enjoy mobbing, but have no interest in getting killed for entertainment. If a bunch get killed, they're more likely to lose interest in the activity.
A can of wasp spray - that can straight shoot 20' - works even better.

If you start shooting, then they’ll start shooting. Then you’ll have a street war. After awhile, everybody will forget who started it, and the lefties will say “it’s nobody’s fault, but we have to disarm america right now, now, now!” I don’t think any of these mob actions are spontaneous,they’re coordinated.
