I would like to see a movement of “flash minutemen” begin in these areas.

“these “flash mobs” of violent blacks are no different than the “lynch mobs” of yesterday.”

No, they are not.

A “lynch mob” of yesteryear — and I’m referring specifically towards those in the South — we groups of organized, indeed “regular” citizens who banded together to extract quick justice against someone (usually black) who had egregiously and totally violated the laws and mores of society. Once their “pound of flesh” had been taken, they were no more.

A flash mob is diametrically opposed in what it does. The mob is intent on “taking” from random victims (almost always white) for no reason other than they are white and that they are there to be taken from. Like piranas, they will attempt to devour anything (anyone) who falls within their reach.

In times past, a lynch mob would have been a logical response to behavior such as the beating/murder of a victim of a flash mob.

But to equate the former with the latter is, well, nonsense.

I’ll say something which you will find even more contentious. In the old South, I would reckon that many, if not most, of the “lynch mob victims” were indeed guilty of the transgressions for which they were being sought. And something even more. In those times, even the most feral of scoundrels understood that vile behavior in the extreme, could result in quick (if non-judicial) punishment, also in the extreme. For what it’s worth, the threat of the noose coerced most criminals into “not going over a certain line”. For if they did, they knew what might come next.

There was a time when gross behavior engendered quick, and often gross, punishment.

It is because we have so completely removed the threat of punishment that we are seeing the behavior we see today.

Just sayin’...

I’ve heard wasp spray is very effective because of the distance it shoots.

Analysis: U.S. residents tempted to avail themselves of this Internet-recommended self-defense option by stockpiling wasp spray would do well consider that federal law prohibits the use of any pesticide "in a manner inconsistent with its labeling." Likewise, some states forbid carrying substances for self-protection that aren't specifically authorized for that purpose.

The main ingredient of pepper spray is capsaicin, an oil extracted from chili peppers which temporarily causes severe irritation of the eyes and lungs, producing a strong burning sensation and difficulty breathing.

Wasp sprays consist of one or more insecticides such as pyrethrum or propoxur. While the toxic side-effects of such chemicals do, in fact, include eye and lung irritation in humans, they are chemical poisons, the main purpose of which is killing pests.

Notwithstanding variations among specific products (of which there are many), it's probably true that wasp and hornet sprays in general, because they're manufactured for use at greater distances, project further and more accurately than pepper sprays, which typically have a range of six to 10 feet. How reliably wasp and hornet sprays would actually work as a deterrent against human assailants is bound to vary, however, given differences in formulation and the fact that they weren't made specifically for that purpose in the first place.

To my knowledge, no one has ever tested or documented the effectiveness of insecticide sprays for self-defense.

One reader who accidentally received a dose of wasp spray while using it around his home told me he was surprised at how little irritation he felt. "A gust of wind caused a good splash of the spray to come right back into my right eye," he wrote. "I panicked and started to run to a source of water, only to find there was no adverse reaction at all, no more than being squirted with a water pistol. It took me at least ten seconds to get to the water, and I rinsed it off, and never felt anything from it."

Well, no.

What you described are vigilantes who may or may not have employed lynchings.

Lynch mobs, by its more contemporary definition and as vigilante mobs evolved (or devolved) into being, were groups of racists who hunted down prey and beat or killed them.

That is what these flash mobs are and that is what they are doing.

If you start shooting, then they’ll start shooting. Then you’ll have a street war. After awhile, everybody will forget who started it, and the lefties will say “it’s nobody’s fault, but we have to disarm america right now, now, now!” I don’t think any of these mob actions are spontaneous, they’re coordinated.

You forget that "them" is a very small minority of the population.

In a short while, none of them will be left, those who had to use force to defend against them will never give up the tools they used to defend themselves, and American cities will be much safer places.

I doubt that "them" amount to 1 percent of the population, likely much less. Police and former police, veterans, and CCW holders amount to more than 10 percent of the population.

OK, but I know from using it on wasps how quickly those spray cans run out. The flow rate out of the can is so high — maybe 30-40 seconds at the most? If you try to use it while the hive is awake the remaining wasps will mob and attack you — what do you think the remaining ‘youths’ will do?

I agree about the refreshing aspect of the "song and dance' type of flash performance art, which is simply the way free people act when creativity has not been outlawed by the National Insecurity State. My favorite is here --- brilliant--- and check out the reaction of the girl at 0:45, absolutely makes the whole thing worthwhile.

The flash looters need forcible suppression which is swift, stinging, and certain. They need to learn a lesson they will never forget.

And let creative men and women flash their God-given joy, the inner secret of the world.

..a spray of oven cleaner to the eyes will work just fine on the offenders!!!!!

Just a caution: oven cleaner is extremely caustic and could blind or maim the person [offender?] you're spraying.

Easy Off - What's Inside?"

I’m thinking that the media can make a small number of people look like a hoarde in the perceptions of the public. If a few of them are shot by armed citizens, the media will make it look like a bloody massacre.

You are correct. However, the MSM is losing its ability to control the flow of information and ideas. Truth is gaining in power.

“Similarly, I wonder how out of control a “flash mob” of racist “youths” might evolve in gun toting Phoenix, Arizona?”

I have some interesting takes on that hypothetical. The first of which is that the Coen brothers movie “Raising Arizona” was less a comedy than a documentary.

Committing a public armed robbery in Arizona usually means one of three things: the robber is newly arrived from out of State; or they are out of their mind with drugs and/or alcohol, or they are naturally out of their mind; or three, that they wish to commit suicide. Or, of course, some combination of the three things.

The closest thing Arizona has ever had to a riot was during WWII, when the blacks living in South Phoenix, a traditionally bad neighborhood, decided to protest-riot, because they believed an unfairly large number of black men had been drafted.

Anti-draft *anything* in “ ‘Ol Frank’s” authoritarian America was a major no-no, and was met by the deployment of a contingent of the Arizona National Guard, located not too far away. A single Army truck with just a few soldiers on it.

And a water cooled M1917A1 Browning 30mm machine gun, with an adequate supply of belted ammunition.

They “hosed” the asphalt in front of the rioters, spraying chunks of asphalt and ricochet bullets at a high rate of speed at the rioters.

A news report of “a public disturbance”, about one paragraph, was published in the now defunct Phoenix Gazette newspaper, far in the back, “among the truss ads”, according the the young reporter who wrote it. He had been among the rioters, and had wisely ducked into an alley, with only the heel of one shoe being shot off.

He did not publish a full account of the event until near his retirement in the late 1970s.

Now granted, the Arizona National Guard no longer actively uses water cooled M1917A1 Browning 30mm machine guns, it having been superseded by more trendy machine guns, but it goes to show the local attitude towards “public disturbances” committed by those who seek to use mob violence against the responsible public and their property.

Close to 50% of Arizona households have guns, and a large number of these have more than one.

The bottom line is even if someone proposed a “flash mob” in the worst part of South Phoenix today, everyone else would look at them as if they had lost their [expletive] mind. Which would likely be the case, unless they were newly arrived from out of State.

Oh, and here's another great flash mob --- dancing --- this one, like the previous one I posted at #70 (Link), was in Beirut.

Beirut! Makes me think, dang, there's hope.
