High heat is gone — right now in 80s. Humid, though. Electric bill will be a fortune again, but what can I do?
Probably Alaska is a relief in comparison (during the summer, anyway).
I could NOT handle the heat and humidity.
It’s been high 60s and low 70s....a little warm for here, but complaints considering the heat the lower 48 is suffering.
Not much you can do about electric bill....gotta beat the heat somehow.
Good morning, Marine...((HUGS))...it’s almost the weekend. Hurrah!!
Sounds like you had a good time. Good for you.
It is blowing like crazy here, really HARD at times. Rain is expected, but we will see.
Sorry it took me so long to answer.
Each day’s Canteen thread is posted at 9p eastern and 5p Alaska time, except Saturday and Sunday which are one hour earlier. We post the night before because it allows more people to participate.
Thanks for visiting the “Friday” Canteen.
Thanks, AZ, for the red, white, and blue tribute.
Hope your commute was quick and cool. *HUGS*
Thank you for doing your part to help keep all of us free and safe.
Thanks, unique, for the pastries.
Coffee is always on........
How about a donut?
Cookies?
Veggies?
Sandwich?
((HUGS))Good morning, Kathy. How's it going?
BTTT
Good morning, Everyone.
Good morning to our
Military, our Allies, and their families.

Thank you, Ma, for preparing the Canteen for todays activities.
The DC Metroland weather report

Highs in the mid 80s. Southeast winds 5 to 10 mph.
~ Tonight...Partly cloudy in the evening...
Then becoming mostly cloudy.
Lows around 70.
Southeast winds 5 to 10 mph.
No gym today.
Means more time at the Canteen this morning while I run reports.
But I do plan to leave a little early this afternoon.
So....
Time for me to make my rounds.
But, you stay right where you are.
Don't leave the room...I'll be bock!
Remember, the Canteen is
Come in and sit for a while.
There's always plenty of coffee, pancakes, conversation, silliness,
and plain old BS
