High heat is gone — right now in 80s. Humid, though. Electric bill will be a fortune again, but what can I do?

Probably Alaska is a relief in comparison (during the summer, anyway).

I could NOT handle the heat and humidity.

It’s been high 60s and low 70s....a little warm for here, but complaints considering the heat the lower 48 is suffering.

Not much you can do about electric bill....gotta beat the heat somehow.

Aloha again Night Owl!

I was with my former foreman catching the oama and after snagging a dozen headed off to Isles.....which was too crowded and it was raining. I left and he headed off to 4 Miles, which was also too crowded so he left.

Got a call from him today; just before sunset he'd bagged 3 omilo and a good sized papio with his last oama. Where? At his 'secret fishing spot'.

Good for him....and I love fishing tales.

Sounds like you had a good time. Good for you.

It is blowing like crazy here, really HARD at times. Rain is expected, but we will see.

Sorry it took me so long to answer.

Each day’s Canteen thread is posted at 9p eastern and 5p Alaska time, except Saturday and Sunday which are one hour earlier. We post the night before because it allows more people to participate.

Thanks for visiting the “Friday” Canteen.
