The owner of a Venice health food market and two other people were arrested on charges related to the allegedly unlawful production and sale of unpasteurized dairy products, a spokesman for the Los Angeles County district attorney's office said.
The arrests of James Cecil Stewart, Sharon Ann Palmer and Eugenie Bloch on Wednesday marked the latest effort in a government crackdown on the sale of so-called raw dairy products.

Boy, those organic farmers sure are dangerous! It’s a good thing that the Feds work so hard to protect us from ourselves. I guess that they have nothing better to do.
This is ridiculous. Thanks, Michelle Ofatass & your POS Food Safety Act.
I must have an incomplete copy of the Constitution. Mine doesn’t have the Raw Milk Clause in it. Can someone direct me to a complete copy? Thanks.
The War on Poverty may have been a miserable failure, and the Drug War every bit as ineffective as the War on Liquor. But this War on Milk must surely break the trend.
So when do they start arresting children for having lemonade stands or old ladies for using walkers? Not long off I’m sure.
Hope you are liking the tyranny, California—after all, you’ve been instrumental in bringing it about.
Nah, I heard the followed him around, and then attacked the place with a whole SWAT team.
AND they didn’t even read him his rights. And he’s in jail, right now.
Glad to see this time was well-spent. I'll bet the agents were high-fiving each other after the bust. "Well, boys, all our hard work has paid off! We're getting those raw milk pushers off our streets! Job well done! Time to celebrate and knock back some hard-earned beers!"
“I must have an incomplete copy of the Constitution. Mine doesnt have the Raw Milk Clause in it.”
Um, uh, selling milk is commerce, and more than one state is doing it so it’s interstate commerce. Yeah, that’s the ticket.
I’m so glad we have such brave men and women to protect us. I’ve been fortunate that all the horrible raw milk I’ve drank off and on in my 46 years has never harmed me. It is so rare that a addict of controlled substances like raw milk can come out unscathed such as myself.
To bad these vile people weren’t in possession of a firearm so they could get a mandatory sentence.
I know about this one and it is ridiculous, I mean arrest and jail.
As far as the old ladies in walkers, I think I will have some fun with this one.
Gonna tell some of my OLD woman friends who are Democrats, that Obama is thinking of putting a license fee on those wheels. After all, they do use up the sidewalks and they should be very happy to contribute more to his causes. It costs a lot of money to repair the sidewalks, doncha know.
Time to start spreading the rumored good news to them.
Too bad our forefathers didn’t have this kind of protection!
They could have been all those raw milk deaths....oh wait....
Cheers!
It’s for sale in Washington with no problems. What’s up with Kalphornia???
I suggest everyone go google “Milk Borne Diseases.”
Maybe I’ll start telling the overweight folks that use the electric scooters in stores that Mrs Obama wants them to walk not ride.
