He shoulda listened to her.
“wearing only boxer shorts”
where were the rest of his clothes? There may be more to this than meets the eye......
I love hearing a story like this in the morning! Starts my day off just right....
Don’t make me come over there.
Well, she might be up for the Emily Post award.
I’m a big believer that you listen to people with loaded guns pointed at you, no matter how unreasonable they might seem.
“LEAVE! OR I’LL”.....[BANG!].....”SHOOT!”.............................
Neighbor's camera is pointing into her house?
She showed admirable restraint, but did what she had to do when the time came.
Newport?
First place I think of is newport, R.I.
But ya never know for sure; even clicking back to the source article does not always reveal for sure...
Print “journalism” (so-called) has never caught up with modern times, or maybe it’s just like everything else with them—bloggers/online news works better...
NEWPORT — A woman told a burglar to leave twice before shooting him in the head, Newport police said Monday.

Psshh. I’da just told him once. If I told him anything at all.
good for her!
WLWT broadcasts out of Cincinnati, but this Newport is right over the river in Kentucky.
I love a happy ending...sniff!
Overly generous and polite, IMO.
The world is a better place today, by a factor of 1.
Wish we had A LOT more good stories like this, for two reasons. One, I like happy endings and two - there is a lot of room for improvement in the world.
She did her part, God bless her.
Done and done!
Way to go, ma'am!
Left a party? I guess his friends let him down.
I do hope that this guy was, in fact, a burglar. In most parts of the country, the same folks who forced the mentally ill out of the state institutions are now forcing the closure of institutions for the developmentally disabled and forcing them into community care “homes.”
I know someone in this very situation. The liberals want him to be “free” and in the community rather than in the institution where he has lived for over 40 years. He has the mental capacity of a 18 month old child, but is very good at sneaking out, especially since the homes are forbidden to lock the doors securely. I could easily see this happening to him when he ends up in one of these “homes.” He wouldn’t even understand what the lady was saying to him. It’s just such a tragedy waiting to happen.
You might want to change your title and keywords. Newport is in Kentucky, across the river from Cincinnati.
