Clay County GOP chairwoman Kirstine Thiessen confirmed that Perry won the straw poll vote the other night, which was held among those on hand for a planned meeting. The county, I'm told, is in Rep. Steve King's district, and abuts Minnesota.
Of the 59 votes cast, Perry won with 15, followed by Michele Bachmann with 9, Thiessen said. Rick Santorum got eight, Ron Paul got 6, Hermain Cain got 5, Thaddeus McCotter got four, and tied with Tim Pawlenty and Mitt Romney for that number. Newt Gingrich and Sarah Palin each got two votes.
It's not quite a representative sample of the larger Iowa electorate, but it is worth noting.

Some people just can’t accept reality, so no amount of facts, logic, and reasoning penetrates their self-created bubble of intellectual insulation.

Rick Perry For President? Meet 24 Billionaires Who’ve Backed Him
FOX News programming is the single-largest cable news viewing audience in America, averaging more viewers than all the other cable outlets combined.
There is, therefore, one Cable News organ which is most inarguably representative of the American Heartland, and it is FOX News. Spin it however you feel you must in order to "advance" your losing play, but facts are facts.
And, yes, I know how inconvenient the facts are for those who do not support Palin. Fact is, she's miles ahead of the competition, and she has yet to announce.
Chomp. I mean, CHAWMP!!!

Speaking of facts... and polls:
President Obama vs. Republican Candidates
http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/2012/president/president_obama_vs_republican_candidates.html
General Election: Palin vs. Obama
Average: Obama 55%, Palin 35%
Obama: +20% — he beats Palin by a larger margin than he beats any of the other Republican potential candidtes. (Perry was not included)
Pretty clueless about the FEC trap, aren't you?
I also just voted multiple times in that poll. Depending upon how you go about it will or won’t count your extra votes.
The Establishment likes him.
LMAO!!!! I can take and publish skewed poll numbers, too. If these "Anti-Palin" poll numbers you're so gleeful over are right, there is NO WAY she could beat O'Bunghole.
So, when she DOES beat the dripping snot out of O'Buttboy, it will prove that you were as full of sh*t about Palin as you were about all those "Democrats" watching FOX (LMAO!!!!!), and as PolyBIAS is about everything, period.
Did you bother to LOOK at the link?
It’s the average of several polls, most polls of registered voters. Look for yourself. Obama is beating Palin by 15 to 26 points, the average is by 20.

“when she DOES beat the dripping snot out of O’Buttboy”
Sure, and Fred Thompson is the president of the US today...
Same prediction here by some about him at the time, ignoring reality.
This from a poster who lectures people about not knowing "reality".
Of course he is. There, there now. Just try to relax. We're all FRiends here.
It's going to be Okay.
;^\
As I said, I am so glad Fred Thompson is president today...
Same blind hope...
Utter nonsense.
Few predicted McCain and Obama would be the nominees. Did you pick them 16 months before the election? The fact that McCain and Obama became the nominees, disproves your point that the polls 16 month before an election are a valuable indicator of "reality".
Same blind hope...shared by all the Democrats watching FOX news. Gotcha.
This from someone who uses poll numbers from February.
What the hell difference does it make if he wasborn and raised in Texas or some other state??? Bush was born in Ct., I think, and he couldn’t be any more Texan.
Whoa, I was talking about me being a born and raised Texan.... Read the thread! geez
You were hard to understand.....
