Your vote was wasted and you knew that by voting for a crazy man. Because you denied a vote to McCain/Palin, McCain being by far the lesser socialist, we ended up with Cthulhu. The greatest of evil.
So you're telling me that in order to stop a socialist from getting elected, I have to vote for a socialist.
Are you sure you're not suffering from Conservative Derangement Syndrome?
I told him the truth, I told him where to go to find the proof, and I made up a wild story when the truth didn’t satisfy his desire to rant and rave.
All anyone has to do is search my name. I don’t hide it under an alias. I have nothing TO hide.
And he still never pointed out the ‘crime’ in delurking after an extended posting absence.
Lake’s right. That’s all that needs saying.
REAL trolls almost never do that; and there have been those who are pro-Palin who have baited some other Palin supporters and then yanked the sh!t out of them (for knee-jerk accusations, and they only warned the person once--going nuclear *after* the warning was ignored). Only by going back two or three weeks could one find out they were a Palin supporter.
I think a great deal of the problem is that there has been so much egregious HATRED of Palin, and, indeed, so much real trolling, that some Palin supporters adopt the "ZOT 'em all, let Mod sort it out" attitude; but those who invoke the wrath of aggrieved Palin supporters bear some share of the blame for tone and context in which they vent some of their criticisms. Recall the seminar callers to Rush and seminar posters. Try not to look so much like one w.r.t. Palin if you really are trying to avoid being flamed: and openly acknowledging the posting of replies to anti-Palin objections (even if you simultaneously admit that you "still" happen to disagree) would gain a lot more credence than ignoring when essentially the same answer hits you from five or six posters independently, and repeating your already-addressed talking points on thread after thread.
Names are left out since we all know who the egregious trolls are.
Cheers!
About what, exactly?
I'm not going to buy into the stupid establishment shell game of voting for one socialist against another. If you're dumb enough to fall for the establishment's tricks, though, that's your problem
In general? Paraphrasing - About the fact that your views and rationalizations for them are pretty out there. About your inability to see the forest for the trees. You know. The truth. But believe what you want.
Bingo.
And when all attempts to have a rational discussion with those who insist upon being irrational have failed, humor seems to be the best medicine.
Thanks for showing me the way on that :-)
Glad to oblige. I love a good, deep, argumentative debate more than just about anything. The more heated the better...as long as the debate stays on topic.
But with the typical PDSer, it cannot. So, mock them till they stop flinging the verbal feces. When no one stands up to them, they just go on creating more havok.
What exactly is "out there" about not voting for socialists?
If you don't want socialism, then don't vote for socialists.
It's just that simple.
About your inability to see the forest for the trees.
I'm not the one making excuses for casting votes for socialism.
You are.
Twist it some more and hope logic wrings out.
You willfully and knowingly denied a needed vote that would have helped keep Demo-Cthulhu out of office. Your prideful interpretation of ‘conservatism’ helped elect him. Fact. Deal with it. Go to a 12 step program if needed, but it changes nothing. Your vote did in fact help elect Obama and there is nothing that will ever change that FACT.
Just my 2 cents.
Btw, I have no problem with those who honestly disagree and want to discuss their misgivings about Palin. She's not perfect, she's had some positions I disagree with, so I can handle honest dissent. I just posted to one of those this evening on another thread.
It's the ongoing snarky, leftist PDS knocking of a decent conservative who has found herself put in the forefront of our battle with the libs that I just can't understand. If she runs or not, it's a hard road she has, I've not seen many that are tougher.
It's beyond contemptible, it's sickening.
I react to that, sorry.......
WOW! How amazing is that!
She wrote about her resignation and the reasons for it in her book that was published 6 months prior to said resignation? How could folks not have seen that coming?
P.S. Do you get a % of book sales, or something? The answer to every question of substance seems to be "Buy her book."
I simply think that allowing idiots unchallenged to spout BS and stir trouble is what got this country in the mess it’s in to begin with. It has damaged the country in the big picture and it damages a board like FR in the smaller one.
We rail against the MSM inventing BS and plying it as news, so when our own here act in the same way, I believe that we should end it. Jim of course has the ultimate call, but that’s not to say we shouldn’t police ourselves as well.
“The answer to every question of substance seems to be “Buy her book.”
Well it does have her unspun answers in it. Isn’t that what people want to know?
IMO, both books have very little of what people claim they include.
My opinion says they have a lot of it. People should read them and decide for themselves rather than listen to either of us.
Go to a library and get’em free.
That twisted "logic" only works if one arrogantly presumes that my vote belongs to the Republicans to begin with.
It doesn't.
As for you, it's fairly clear that you voted for the socialist McCain, and you have no apologies for doing so.
That you continue to present yourself as a conservative despite willingly and knowingly voting for a socialist is straight up repugnant.
Your vote belongs to the Constitution and yourself. You ignored the guidance of our founding document, exercised your vote, an in so doing, ensured the election of a Marxist. Fact.
I bought them on ebay, read them and sold them back. They only cost about $1. Less than gas money to the library.
Anyone buying these books thinking there is any substantive discussion on policy will be sorely disappointed.
