Because the stated purpose of these programs makes no sense whatsoever in light of the fact that once arms disappear into a foreign country the U.S. has no jurisdiction, many people believe the gunwalking programs were really an attempt to boost the statistics concerning U.S. arms being used by the Mexican drug cartels in order to lend more credibility to gun-banning attempts by the Obammunists.

Yes, remember back to the summer, I think, when all of the media was running back to back stories on US guns fueling violence in Mex? Its so hard not to believe the media wasnt briefed on what to say and how to say it by the Soetoro administration. It was around this time the ATF was feeding its manufactured ‘evidence’ to them so their story’s would seem credible.

Clinton had signed the assault weapons ban but signed a waver that allowed the Chinese, Norinco, to continue shipping in somewhere around 100,000 to 150,000 SKS’s. I remember at the time there were so many SKS’s coming into the country you could pick one up for under $50.
I don't remember if it was a sting operation where an ATF agent posed as a gang member and busted them or if the weapons were just found in the shipment of legal SKS’s.
I also don't recall if the story even made the main stream news because the MSM was doing everything they could to get Clinton reelected and didn't want any “BAD PRESS”.
Agencies of the Executive branch of the Federal government, under color of law, have become agents provocateur in an effort to deprive US citizens of their Constitutional rights.
If that's not treason, I don't know what is.

Just Abolish the ATF, and the agents that are not put on trial for violating their oath in exercising unauthorized powers can be referred to either one of the numerous state & local police agency or the INS/border patrol.

Of course I think their caviler disregard of the limits of the Federal Constitution in the basic operations of their job to be a far more serous offense.
Yes and in many instances its not even color of law but color of agency rulings or even nothing at all, just b/c we can get away with it. I think there are 2 groups watching to see how this all plays out. Both are looking to see if all the perpetrators are brought to justice.
The fact the dems haven't circled the wagons to dispel the gun control story but instead are reinforcing the gun control story is also an indication to me at least, that there is something else going on.

I don’t know, perhaps they feel safe that most people don’t care at all or don’t care b/c other factors, like the economy are overruling. I know this is far out but...I wonder if this is an attempt to get rid of Barry. The dem machine must understand how terminally toxic he is and getting him out of the way while repudiating his methods could redeem the party in the eyes of many. In fact it would make it possible to insert a credible presidential candidate at the last minute catching the republicans off guard. Then again it could be as simple as a bunch of screw ups given a task that was beyond them. I do know that there are those in the ATF, DOJ and perhaps the WH who need to sped a LONG time in jail.
