Two years ago, U.N. researchers were claiming that it would cost “as much as $600 billion a year over the next decade” to go green. Now, a new U.N. report has more than tripled that number to $1.9 trillion per year for 40 years.
So let's do the math: That works out to a grand total of $76 trillion, over 40 years -- or more than five times the entire Gross Domestic Product of the United States ($14.66 trillion a year). It’s all part of a “technological overhaul” “on the scale of the first industrial revolution” called for in the annual report. Except that the U.N. will apparently control this next industrial revolution.
The new 251-page report with the benign sounding name of the “World Economic and Social Survey 2011” is rife with goodies calling for “a radically new economic strategy” and “global governance.”
Throw in possible national energy use caps and a massive redistribution of wealth and the survey is trying to remake the entire globe. The report has the imprimatur of the U.N., with the preface signed by U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon – all part of the “goal of full decarbonization of the global energy system by 2050.”
Make no mistake, much of this has nothing to do with climate.
The press release for the report discusses the need “to achieve a decent living standard for people in developing countries, especially the 1.4 billion still living in extreme poverty, and the additional 2 billion people expected worldwide by 2050.” That sounds more like global redistribution of wealth than worrying about the earth’s thermostat.
That’s because it is. The report goes on and says “one half of the required investments would have to be realized in developing countries.” In other words, $38 trillion would go to the developing world.

They never point out that people are hungry in Socialist or Statist countries, and that starvation is a cheap way to kill your enemies. Poverty, misery, and hunger are all part of Socialism, and we will face it here if Obama gets his way.
Want to stop world hunger, get rid of the communist and dictators. Look at N.Korea, they starve as their leader parties.

Is it just me or are the libs dumping a heavier than usual load of their BS on us this week..? Possibly to combat all that good patriotic zeal we have during Independence week. I wouldn’t put it past these scum bags to cook up such a scheme.

How about this for starters from the next President:
“Good evening. Upon completion of my review of the United Nations program known as Agenda 21 in which the United States has participated under past administrations, I have determined that far too many of it’s dictates stand in direct violation of the United States Constitution and the rights of America’s citizens for it to continue within our borders.
Henceforth, I am signing an executive order immediately that directs the Dept. of the interior, EPA and BLM to cease all current operations and devote 100% of their resource, staff and effort to work with City, State and Local governments to dismantle any and all regulations derived from or mirroring the policies and programs of Agenda 21. This is a matter of national security due to a number of issues, not the least of which is energy production and as such, not open to judicial review.
Further, I will personally empanel a group of experts with no connection to UN, political or NGO environmental groups to ensure compliance by both the EPA and C-S-L governments. Lastly, every citizen is asked to help in this endeavor by reporting policies and programs they feel may be part of or have derived from the Agenda 21 debacle.
To fully fund this operation without placing another burden on the taxpayer, I direct our State Department to immediately cease all funding for the United Nations and related programs/entities, and ask that Congress codify this in a clean piece of legislation that I will immediately sign when it reaches my desk. Any and all costs for this action will be billed to the UN directly, perused in International court, and all Foreign Aid, except that aid sent to Israel, which we will maintain for the sake of national security, will be suspended immeadiately and henceforth until such time as the debt is repaid. At that time Foreign Aid will be reviewed on a case by case basis, depending on the financial health of the United States economy.
